  • hello all :)

two NSDs for me as everything had already been budgeted for on saturday & yesterday i didnt leave the house.

bought a baby bath on eb@y. mamas & papas one...£28 on their website!!! i got it for £2.20. i've done a tally up of everything we've bought & worked out how much if we had bought brand new for everything we would of spent. the Brand new total is 546.69. i have spent.........£199.06! :money: now if that isnt money saving then i dont know what is. we have bought all the big stuff so gonna lay off buying for a few months & everythings going into savings.

still paid £5 off each of my cards today so still trying to chip away. its turning into a right juggling act.

i was very happy with my hair cut & colour on my voucher on saturday. they gave me a card for their offers over the next few months so i might go back there :)

    hope everyones ok x

  • Hi LL

Sorry been away for a while, I haven't been well.

Sounds like you have had lots of nice cheap things going on lately :T.

Well done on the money savings for the Twinklet things. That is fantastic. Wish I had thought so sensibly when I was pregnant. I spent a bloomin fortune and i'm probably still paying it off :o.

Hope you are having a fab weekend. Shame you can't go in the hottub, bet you could go in it as long as you don't turn the bubbles on. I guess its just a bath then, but might be better than not doing it at all. :).

    Speak soon xx
  • hello everyone.

had a great weekend the lodge was SO nice. didn't risk the hottub, just didn't want to feel terrible if something happened. weekend was well under budget so very happy with that. put the rest into savings.

I, for the first time in my driving life (driving since 18...8 years :)) i have paid for my car tax for a whole year rather than 6 months. i am very proud that i was able to do this. i am using the 2 months council tax break to pay for it so not exactly budgeted for...but paid for and not on my credit card. in fact i havent spent on my creidt card once since i started my diary so i am quite pleased with my self today.

cleared out stuff from the attic on sunday ready for the skip coming this weekend. honestly the amount of stuff up there is ridiculous! def worth the skip!

get paid next Thursday & i have £138 in my bank so no problems or worries about going into my overdraft this month. if there is any left i am going to add it to my credit cards.

Hope you are all ok :)

  • Hi Aamberle - thanks for dropping by :)

weekend was good. skip came and was filled and went within 2 hours. so nice to have a proper clear out & get rid of so much rubbish. did a big clean on saturday until my back started aching so had to stop. paid a few extra quid on my CCs.
sunday had a date with hubs. had tyesco vouchers for prezzo so went to the pictures (for the first time togetheR) and went for dinner. it was really nice.

get paid on wednesdya & still have £20 left for my petrol so not going into my overdraft again :) not sure whether i am going to drop it by £50 again to £150 or leave it as it is just in case. although just in case is just a temptation to me so probably best to reduce again.

im quite happy with my progress. i know that my progress debt free wise is alot slwoer than it started out now but i think i am managing the change in circumstances to the best of my ability. i'm not just wanging everything on credit & hoping for the best. ia m being sensible and planning forward for when the baby comes. the old me would of just paniced and worried and got in a right state but i am better at manging and planning now which i am proud of.

so far the total i've spent in baby stuff is £253.97 and would of worked out at £747.69 had i bought it all brand new so that is pretty good going :) x
