Yes ignore is a proven tactic that works
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • my wife received a £100 parking ticket in blackpool after staying 35 mins over in a Parkingeye carpark and she in now worried about having to pay the fine with xmas coming up she has been informed sometimes it`s a scam hopefully that is the case should she ignore her very official looking parking ticket we paid £8 to park for 8 hours and the competition my 2 daughters were in ran a bit over any advaice would be great to hear tks

Of course it's "official looking". That's how they try and fool people into paying up. It's not a "fine", it's an invoice which you don't have to pay.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Hope you weren't thinking this was the only thread on Parking Eye? Read some more, there are hundreds, going back a few pages on the forum and clicking on any you see (or search the forum or Google 'Parking Eye ignore'):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Of course it's a scam. All fake PCNs are unfair, a con, and should either be ignored or appealed/appealed to POPLA (see top thread) and then ignored again.

Once you have read pretty much any threads and looked at the PPC letter chains thread (5th from top of this forum, but please look at the OLD letter chains link pre-October) then you will know the score.

    :)

I got scolded for saying to one poster that the only thing unique about their post and the hundreds of others was the car registration plate.

    Harsh but true.

I sometimes wonder if people even bother to read the threads they append their posts to.

Did it have a P&D machine in the car park?

Both of them say they were in a free car park, so the presence of a P&D machine is unlikely.

And even if there was one, the operators would only be entitled to the cost of any unpaid parking, nothing else - so it wouldn't make any difference in to the progress of a typical PPC ticket.

However, if you have a ticket from a P&D car park, why not start your own thread, rather than hijack one about something quite different!

Bit desperately nosey for a newbie...you trying to pinpoint the car park for some reason then 'newbie'??
