I have had a tough time mentally to do with my decision to go bankrupt but I am hoping the start of 2013 might be my chance to take a deep breath and reassess my situation. Each New Year I used to do payment plans for the year for all the debts and bills and work out how I was going to manage and pay everything and panic. This year, it will be a different story so I am hoping the penny will drop New Years Day !!

I don't think it's a decision that anyone makes lightly moneymakestheworldgoround but if it's right for you then it's definitely the best thing to do.

Fingers crossed you feel better on New Year's Day and there's no more panic

Hi and welcome to all other 'December clubmates'.
I've been very ill over xmas and new year but am ok now.
Just an update in that after initial 10 minute telephone call to double check my statement etc, an appointment for a 30 minute telephone interview is arranged for January 14th.
Must admit I feel slightly easier in opening mail already. A small physical step but a massive mental step - I'd often not open mail for weeks at a time.
Bankruptcy now registered with creditexpert, but my rating is still only 'poor' and not 'very poor'!

After reviewing my SOA I can see lots of areas for money saving improvement.

Does anyone know if I can cancel my BT line rental phone and bb service even tho im only half way through my contract as Im paying alot for the service

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during December's 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
