Hi Crapwithmoney and Welcome to the Bankruptcy (BR) Board and December's BR Club too
When you know your date come back and I will add you to the front page.
Hope one of the following debt charities are helping you as they don't charge and are impartial. Also if your not ‘clicking’ with one of the Debt charities do try another. We advise you to try at least two others for your own piece of mind.
Your BR could be refused if you have not sought advice.

Just a couple of lines to say Hi and thanks to all who post on here
I went BR in November 2011 and had AD in November 2012, quite stressful - worrying about my bank account being frozen, but it wasn't as the bank I had my account with I didn't owe money to and didn't have any money in (except child benefit etc), so the OR said he didn't need to contact them
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
I asked my dad to change his will to leave my (potential) inheritance to my kids and not me, this meant if something untoward happened the family didn't lose out.
In the end nothing (financially) untoward happened
I am now in the process of cleaning up my credit file and have written to all my credtitors that havent marked the debt as satisfied.
I didn't write recorded (as it costs money) but I did go to a post office and got proof of postage (free) for each one.
Don't despair and keep your chin up

Only 4 people know about my BR and 2 of those are professionals involved in my care, no need to tell anyone if you don't want to.
I will be AD in 2013 so looking forward to that, to that end I shall look forward to the arrival of the January 13 BR club!"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
Thanks everyone it's always great to chat with people who are going through or have been through this already.
Will update later on my experience..0 -
Hi, cant believe how good life is now. Sept 10th was a great day. The whole process from the court to the interview was a breeze, the or clerk is there if i have any questions, i have only had one problem which was local council is still taking money from jsa for council tax bill, i have phoned them 4 times to remind them to stop, then passed it to or clerk to deal with,
Now look forward to May for ed.
Anyone thinking of bankruptcy, its not a bad place to be afterwards, i had over 3 years of worry, sleepless nights, not anymore.

:staradmin Hi Everyone and Welcome to the December's 2012 Bankruptcy Club :staradmin
This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during December's 2012. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
~ Please do not include too much information as the IS (Insolvency Service) are known to frequent this forum and they may identify individual cases, so username and date only, thank you ~
Best wishes
