  • LameWolf - we have always told the DWP that they have to phone Sarah when I'm around - and don't take any c**p! They have alwaqys been fine - they need initially to speak to DD1 who confirms that she wants me to speak on her behalf......

LW designate Mr Wolf as your representative to deal with the DWP - send a letter stating that fact ASAP AND get him to call saying any phone calls have to go through him (Dr Dragon does this for me with the DWP as I was shaking with stress when I needed to speak with them).
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

  • Hello Flyfriends

I'm so sorry not to have been about before. Ill health made it very difficult to do anything for quite some time, I had to stop all my medication for a month, so that a new approach could be made to managing my pain and balancing that with my depression was a little tricky. However, I am now doing really well with the new medications and am back in the land of the living. OH has faithfully carried on 'flying' and has done brilliantly, he's even learnt to cook some basic stuff:T

I hope that I can now visit the forum on a more regular basis again now, I have missed you all very much and look forward to catching up with all your news. I am also looking forward to meeting the new members too.

  • I have read SB5's post - and i am worn out now! :rotfl:

If I had got my butt motivated 6 years ago when I moved in for "my so-called fresh start", then I wouldn't be wearing myself to a frazzle now - I don't want it to take 6 years from now to get a tidy and clean house to be proud of :eek::eek: so I need to do more clearing than cluttering each day rather than just "fire-fighting" to see any progress - it doesn't help that this house is falling down round my ears :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

with my C section looming on the calendar, I will be having to hang up my keys and cleaning trugs before I know it and my "Flying" will then consist of eating, resting and getting better and getting the troops to comply with level 1 on the fly-list between them! :p

I'm scared. Just had a letter from DWP, they're going to phone me "some time in the next 2 weeks" to confirm my identity, (!!!!!!???) then send me a form to fill out, before hauling me in for an ESA interview.:( I'm telephone-phobic, and need Mr LW (ie my Carer) with me in order to go anywhere.:( I can't cope with this

LW speak to your Dr's receptionist for some help. My surgery has an advocacy service that does a home visit, discusses your case, meds, and symptoms, and fills out the ESA form for you....I was told it is automatic ESA policy to reject the first application unless it came in under "special rules" for Terminal ill, or through advocate - that way people supposedly "trying it on" for benefit won't bother to go down the appeals process. The trouble is, unless you have someone who knows how they score and allocate points you can spend days agonising over the form and not get anywhere near completing it before the deadline expires.

As hard as it was for me to have the advocate come to my house, it was less stressful than having to try to complete form over the phone or having to attend interview.

  • LW - lots of great advice for you xx Mr LW will be with you every step of the way :A as we all will be xx

I'm going off list this week, what with uncle's passing and associated family stuff, general f*ckwittery at work  and spending a huge amount of time tweaking every job application so I seem perfect for each job :o It's all very draining so I'm not going to put any more pressure on myself, and what I do get done at home I will see as a bonus :T

msgnomey - fluoxetine keeps me functioning, hope you start to feel stronger soon xx

miasnanny - glad to hear you are on the mend also xx

Love, hugs, sticks, spoons, slaps round the face with a wet haddock, take your pick... :)
