Aagh; just noticed my careful strike-through to show which bits I'd actually done hasn't come out. It was cut and pasted from a Word document and looked fine there - what do I need to do? Got a feeling I read something about it recently but can't remember what.
Brilliant kazwookie - a whole house!! I'm very impressed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Kazwookie and Dancemum, you're putting me to shame. Whole house cleaned and Xmas shop ordered!!!
Today, apart from dailies and two lovely walks with the dogs I've done no flying as the paid stuff was hectic. Have only just finished. Also popped to docs and to the shop to buy cake. Have a day off with DH tomorrow so not planning any flying then either.
I'm sure the dust will be still waiting for me on Thursday.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Hi there
Posting late this week, still had this awful cold, which us just going now after around ten days, and OH has started with a really sore throat. I'm hoping he hasn't got my bug, as it's lasted so long, but hope he's soon better, he's looking really poorly right now.
I went back to work yesterday and so far my voice has lasted! I've had a quick read through, but can't retain much at the moment(!), but good vibes to all those still feeling poorly or low. Dusty, I saw that you were much better - that is good news. And Lamewolf - Dylan is gorgeous! My brother used to rescue greyhounds and we had some lovely, gentle dogs.
I haven't done heaps, just enough to keep the worst at bay, and hope to start again in a few days and do 'corners and cupboards' ready for Christmas!
Welcome to all newcomers and thank you to Natty for the lists. Natty, we had a lovely robin at the bird table today, loads of bluetits, but yesterday we had the BIGGEST blackbird I've ever seen! It was huge!! I double-checked and it was a blackbird, but as big as a raven!!!
Bye for now, and again, good wishes all round. R x
PS Honey Bear - did you whisper that, sadly, your lodger had left!!! Yay, go you, and enjoy your own home again! X0 -
Thanks Pigpen, good to know i'm not on my own xx You know when you give someone a suggestion or idea and they dismiss it??? Yet if some one else suggests it...It's amazing!!!! BLEURGH!!!0

It's been a LONNNNNNNNNG day......my stupid o'clock flying session saw a little bit of progress - kitchen floor mopped, pulled cooker out and cleaned the sides, floor and wall behind, dishwasher emptied, TD emptied and brought inside, bleached and polished kitchen sink- despite saying I wasn't going to do any more kitchen cupboards I inadvertently started a war with the cereal cupboard :eek::eek:
I bungled the remnants of various fruity flavoured stuffed wheats in their respective bags into one box - lots of recycling of cardboard and more space on the shelf - for some reason I had three bags of porridge on the go across 3 different shelves -did a 27 fling boogie in the cereal cupboard alone - coupons stuffed down the side that expired in 2011 -- never mind, photographs, pens, pencils - well at least they all are in the new designated places - checked duplicates of jams and spreads - put the unopened ones on top shelf - hoping that DD2 and DD3 will be forced into scraping round the almost empty jars first rather than searching for a chair to get to the new stuff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Going great guns, then my leg went to sleep - so I swept out crumbs and went to bedand ACTUALLY slept - to be woken by DD3 to be told she couldn't find my keys to unlock the front door to go to school - 45 minutes of searching couldn't find my keys - so I had to let DD3 climb out of the living room window so she could leave on time to get her school bus
:(:(
As DS was the most likely suspect I checked the whole kitchen, including fridge, freezer, cooker - anywhere a toddler could think to hide it - nothing - in the end I woke him up, but at first he couldn't remember....then he said it was in his "tree house" aka cupboard under the stairs - I pulled out every trug, box, hoover, scrabbling right to the back- to be told "no it's in the other tree house- found the keys on top of DD3 PE kit in the coat side of the cupboard :eek::eek:
So I got him to nursery 45 minutes late, tore up a strip of tarmac to get to hospital just in time - then spent 1 hour in the chair getting my jaws adjusted - new Dr does not have the skill and precision of the previous one - which meant I was left feeling very unwell and unable to drive until my blood sugar recovered enough to get DS from nursery.
Got DS who fell asleep in car on the way back home - finished cleaning out the cereal cupboard, and putting fresh sheets/duvet covers on DD2 and my room, sewed up DD3 broken umbrella - folded towels, put away DD2, DS and my clothes, and DD3 put in a pile in her room - sorted out clothes for ironing (still haven't done any ironing yet)
De-cluttered DD3 from after school club, put DS back in my bed to continue nap - and then fell asleep myself - so I will have to do a stupid o'clock flying session to catch up.
I don't think I have to leave the house except for nursery and after school club tomorrow - so I really should get some progress then -*sigh* time for a cuppa I think, then get a rocket/cattle prod/other motivational instrument of torture up my rear and get started again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Eeek you are all putting me to shame.. I have hardly done anything on the lists so far
Never mind I am home in the morning tomorrow so can crack on with them then. And then will probably feel like doing a mad rush after my new councelling session at lunchtime. After my last lot of councelling I always used to take out my frustrations etc on the cleaning/ironing etc. So it bodes well that tomorrow will be a good day
Kazm you are like a whirlwind - the whole house cleaned...yikes!!!
