Slightly late Greetings, All.:D
I've removed the last of the Dylan-fur from the carpet (specially where I groomed him yesterday), removed the nose-art from the glass doors, and dusted as best I can one-handed.:o
Paperwork is all as up-to-date as I can do; there's an envelope awaiting a cheque Mr LW has to write this evening,;) then we're all done.:T What I must do is remind him if he wants to do any Yule cards, he needs to set aside some time to write them.
Skinty your poisonous frogs sound vile;:eek:_pale_ well done on dealing with them (not that you really had a choice, I suppose).
Honey Bear would I be right in thinking you're glad to see the back of Nightmare Lodger?:D Re the mascara in white pillowcase – I assume it's waterproof? Would make-up remover help? Or is it likely to make a worse mess? Sorry, no experience of this particular problem.:omrsmortenharket wrote: »Oh my goodness. Someone shove a rocket up my a$$ as I've done NOTHING today.:o
I'm going to try for HHWiiFit at 15:00 if anyone fancies joining me for HHSomething.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well after some deliberation, I went and bought a steam cleaner after work, I have used it in the kitchen, the dining room and the downstairs loo............so far I'm liking it. It has 2 double sided heads so I don't have to change it when going from room to room. With the mop and bucket, I had a different mopf for the kitchen than the LR and a cloth for the bathroom...........much easier this way, I'm happy. Off to the ironing now, the pile in the DR is making my nice clean floors look messy!!!!! :-)0

DS decided to stay at the g/f's last night - so when I woke up for a bathroom visit at midnight allthe lights were on. By the time i had found my phone and put on my glasses to read the text saying he was stopping out I was awake - boy am i paying for it now!
Have done a washload and decluttered the washing up. Have put together a new TV for the DD's room - my sis sent it for their missed birthdays. DD2 has stinking cold and no voice but has gone to work as other member of staff is off!
I want to go to sleep but I better sort out the washing..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Hello all, I'm going to have a go this week. I appreciate that I'm a day late but I'd rather start today while I'm motivated than leave it til I'm feeling lazy next Monday!
I tend to drop in here once or twice a year - each time I'm absolutely convinced that I'll stick to it this time! My inspiration today is that I have a grand plan to have a DVD and pj day, in an immaculate, candle scented home on Christmas Eve. At the rate I'm going, I'll be starting the day with greasy hair and doing last night's washing up before spending 3-4 hours getting angry and crying cos I'm so rubbish at gift wrapping!!! :rotfl:
I'm thinking that, if I start now, I've at least got a snowflake's chance of succeeding!!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Caught up a little on yesterday but this is what's left:
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it
Clean out and organize one drawer, more if you like
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
27 Fling Boogie, you know the routine, grab a bag and clear that clutter! Not needed! I'm actually quite tidy!
Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
Not bad going, paid stuff too, although that was a v early start. Will go make some supper for the kiddies I think. And me!
ETA and I've ordered some dance shoes for dd for when she starts her class in new year, they will wrap up as a Xmas present. I've been a rebel and refused to get pinkBossymoo

Level One
Empty out the fridge, replace what is inside after wiping it out, making sure what is needed first is at the front
Level Two
Wipe down surfaces
Clean floors in these rooms
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer etc)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it The joys of an aga – it burns off and you just hoover it up!
Extra tasks if you want to do more
• Need to address piles of paperwork; now focussed into 2 piles.
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
Level Two
Move things so you can vacuum under them
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, should the magazines really be on the floor?
Extra tasks if you want to do more
• Check you have your Christmas card list done, if it's not done at least spend 10 minutes on it am writing about 5 cards each day and gradually progressing
• Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW have emptied box of paperwork which was dumped in office from lounge on Sun
• 27 Fling Boogie, you know the routine, grab a bag and clear that clutter! Did this in main bedroom, which didn’t get touched at the weekend. Also hoovered everywhere (including bedside light fitting – DO NOT be tempted to short cut this using vacuum nozzle instead of going downstairs to fetch duster; knocked it off and lampshade smashed).
• Put away everything which shouldn’t be on dressing table and dusted it. Can now see surface.
OOh, am quite please with myself. Still croaky voiced but feeling ok otherwise so managed to get to the gym and do 1 zumba class. Will work up to the other classes next week (normally do 3 on a Tues).
Have also refilled bird feeder, done a load of washing and caught up on Strictly results.
No house stuff planned for this evening other than cooking dinner. Will write a few Xmas cards, start a report for work, do some guitar practice then just feel virtuous knowing I haven't totally wasted my day off like I usually do. Thanks for inspiring me!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I've cleaned the whole house from top to bottom.
Unblocked the hoover, then re hoovered, as it wasn't picking up.
