  • Afternoon.
    Most if the list done.

Not cleaned the oven, and won't be. :p
I will mop the kitchen floor later on.
Ask could do with sorting a cupboard or drawer.

    Best wishes all

  • DD2 was coming back from an overnight stay in Newcastle today - she had it all planned - reservation made on the train..... and then the weather happened!

She caught the right train (given who she was out with last night that was a miracle!) and then they made it to Darlington, at which point the fun began. They left Darlington and then they stopped. Then they had to go back to Darlington - where they stopped again. Then they shut the buffet!!!!!

They weren't told anything about what was happening. Then they inched their way to York where they arrived 2 hours late! She rushed home, threw on clean clothes and raced out to work ( already 1 hour late!)

East Coast officially cancelled the train and started a replacement further down the line. Once they had cancelled it we couldn't track it online! The people on the train didn't know what was happening, and East Coast on their twitter feed could not tell us what time she would arrive in York - tracking the Hogwarts Express would have been easier.....

    Sadly not much flying managed.....

Ionafan - I found both inners in the shower room, but I think she must have used the loo paper to cushion-pack her belongings, as Dusty suggested. OH and I are completely stumped by this woman, the loo paper saga is just one of the mysteries we've encountered during her stay. I'm going to be very hesitant to take an American again - she's the third I've come into contact with regarding accommodation and they have all been very, very strange in more ways than one.

She's leaving at 3.30 am and I will be in that room at 3.35 am very, very quietly remaking the bed and dusting so that when Lovely Lodger arrives back from her weekend with her boyfriend in London at 6.00 am, she can have a nap before work. She's a joy to have around, and very kindly gave up the bigger room over her weekend away so that a married couple could have it.

Good lodgers are fabulous fun to have around and I love having them to stay. We let one of our regulars have our en-suite bedroom a few weeks ago, because we were double booked, and it was his 16th visit. Thanks to the Flylady thread, it only took us an hour to clear our stuff out and make space for him. He was thrilled! (I've told him he can have the buy 19 and get one free offers for his 20th visit!)
    Better is good enough.

Well after a dreadful week at work last week I finally broke down and confided in a colleague how low I'd been feeling. She asked if I was depressed and I guess I am a bit. I don't know if I'm low enough to see the doctor...how do you tell? Having said that I had a better day at work today, I swam on the way there and managed my 30 lengths really quickly and easily and felt better for it...don't know how I'll feel tomorrow as I won't be able to swim first and I know that does pick me up. I wonder if my HRT is not right...I have had a few hot flushes at night lately??!!??

On the flying front I am just off to sort out the kitchen, think I'll manage level one today
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

I agree - you even get "good" and "not-so-good" with canine lodgers. I've only had one that I really and truly would have to think twice about having back, and he was a Grade One Golden Award Brat. All the others have been lovely, even Mary of the weak bladder.:D

If you're asking the question here, it's worth asking it of the GP. Have a (((HUG))); now go and make an appointment. You can ask about your HRT while you're there.:o

Wipe down fronts of major appliances [STRIKE](cooker,[/STRIKE] firdge, freezer etc) [STRIKE]cookerhood[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]microwave[/STRIKE] I will hobble out to utility later and wipe over the white goods out there :( still outstanding
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round still outstanding

Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it
    [STRIKE]oven shelves cleaned[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]left Mr Muscl£ on inside overnight[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]wiped and rinsed oven and "burned" off chemical smell, re-assembled all shelves/racks[/STRIKE] :p
Extra tasks if you want to do more
Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
[STRIKE]Clean the dish drainer, make sure you clean under it too[/STRIKE] no dish drainer= 1 less thing to do :D:D
Clen any 'medium' size appliances, bread makers, slow cookers etc
Clean out and organize one drawer, more if you like
Check the freezer, see what needs using up
    [STRIKE]descaled the kettle[/STRIKE]

Hospital done, Dr's done, post office done for 2 special delivery letters for probate - WM x 4, TD x 4 (not all put away though :()
Hoovered all of downstairs. Bank card refused as Direct Credit had not gone in and no letter or phone call explaining why -:eek::eek:

Internet refused to connect in Study,so had to search out all banking log in details to do on laptop as emergency measure to move money around first - complaint letter will be done once I know if I am being hit for charges - as I WILL not be out of pocket on this one :mad::mad: this is 3rd time this year this has happened, but other occasions I caught it a lot sooner so I was not left red faced in public.

Went to dump with recycling that doesn't go on doorstep collections - I have been saving bits and bobs from fling boogies all this week in a chocolate tin in the kitchen so the mess is contained- blown light bulbs, spent batteries, aerosol cans, and a carrier bag of glass jars - and had some bulky polysterene from my blender box to get rid of so got rid of it all in one trip a very green smiley me :D:D:D

Came back from dump and nursery run with DS fast asleep in car seat - went into utility to turn washing over before *trying* to coax him half awake out of car seat to go up for nap -instead I found back patio flooded with soapy bubbles :eek::eek::eek:

Got the m@rigolds out, de-leafed the utility drain - water still didn't drain away - lift up kitchen man-hole cover....full to brim with water, floating cotton buds, baby wipes and nasties from my ensuite :mad::mad: - checked the front man hole cover - completely empty- checked the one in between completely empty.....there are some cleaning rods in Ex's shed SOMEWHERE, but I think I would have more luck finding Shergar and Lord Lucan playing poker in the back of the shed than finding the rods :D:p:D:p:D. So used handle of old garden broom and stirred and stirred like my life depended on it- eventually the blockages dislodged and the offending mess went down and along all the man holes :j:j:j

Poured a bottle of bleach down utility sink and kitchen sink.....then re-washed clothes in the machine again on a boil wash - just to make sure nothing sinister had backed up in the pipes (so really should be WM x 5 today :) )

DS stayed asleep through the whole thing thankfully - having to keep him out of open manholes would have been a disaster waiting to happen.

DS has been full of beans since he woke up, dinner done, DW loaded ready for cheap electric later.....got some tofu drained and marinading for DD3 tea tomorrow

So not much achieved off the main list after my stupid o'clock flying session, but after nasty poisonous emergency frogs (I don't know what else to call them!) I am spent.

I have hospital AGAIN tomorrow, so if I do fly in the small hours, I can't go mad - may have to settle for a level 1 again tomorrow, depending on how the list looks after going taking DS to nursery in the morning :o

Going to have a quick lurk and a cuppa and see if DS might quit early tonight!
The cold never bothered me anyway

I think level 1 wil be all I can manage this week. Just given the kitchen a quick once over, WM just about to finish and the into TD. Packed lunches to make and then going to give bathroom a S&S as soon as DS finishes in there. Then after a mammoth day at work (too many office politics) I am going to have a hot chocolate and a sit down.
Make £10 per day in July £45.48/£310
    June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24
    Swagbucks in 2015 £65/£150
