I'm in, thanks Natty for your first list.

pigpen sorry you had a bad experience. Anxiety is perfectly normal and the asker of the invite was insensitive and difficult. hope you feel better about things after some sleep.

I'm going to get up and make the lunches now.

The hand I broke 23 months ago is sensitive and swollen. My fingers are trying to re-cross. I think some of the metalwork holding my shattered bones together may have moved. I will try to get to see the GP today.
  • Morning

Must keep up this week. My DS1 is having grommets and an extra tooth removed on Wednesday so I will be off work on Thursday and Friday.

Had a horrible weekend due to the mess and feel really down with it all. This week I need to make a change and get back on the wagon.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
    Level One
Empty out the fridge, replace what is inside after wiping it out, making sure what is needed first is at the front
    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
    Clean floors in these rooms
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, firdge, freezer etc)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it

Extra tasks if you want to do more
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Clean the dish drainer, make sure you clean under it too
    • Clen any 'medium' size appliances, bread makers, slow cookers etc
    • Clean out and organize one drawer, more if you like
    • Check the freezer, see what needs using up
    See you all later!

    totally random question for you..

if you were invited to do something for the first time and you were a bit anxious about it, but had complained mightily the day before about not being invited previously. Then you are again asked to do the same thing and you reply 'Not really but I complained so much yesterday I suppose I have no choice' .. would you assume that was a 'no I do not wish to join in' or a 'yes, I am anxious but I'll come anyway'?
    Venturing in very cautiously.

In the abstract I would have taken it as 'yes, I am anxious but I'll come anyway'
However, while not wishing to sound sexist, I do get the impression that some men do need to have things in words of one syllable.

Oh and I know what you mean about panic fears when faced with something new.

Morning all, thanks Natty for the list.

Piggers - Not sure if I've read right, but its nice to be asked to do something new even if all along you are going to say no, which you're quite entitled to do.

Re bread - what about making a summer pudding, still delicious in the winter, you can use frozen fruit.

I'm in again but already the list looks daunting and I've wasted a lot of time on here this morning. Must dash to get dressed now and walk the dogs before the paid stuff.

    Have a good day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Morning, I shall be mostly lurking this week. I haven't felt this poorly in a long time :( and the BD is most definitely here too.
I was meant to have a date tomorrow  but I've had to cancel, but to be honest I'm not sure thats a bad thing. I'd started having my doubts about it and feeling pushed in to it.

I've finally found the forms for the new Dr so I've filled them in and will nip them in later and try to make an appointment, hoping the rain will ease off first.

My aim today is to do my dailies :o

I think you will find it is my second post that is correct.. I just assumed someone who supposedly knows me well would be able to understand the convoluted sentence meant I was admitting defeat and would come, apprehensively.. Obviously I needed to add a few 'Ug's' and grunts in there in order for it to be understood by a man who I am certain has never given a straight answer to any question he has ever been asked!!!

I have actually resorted to panic attacks over new experiences.. which is why I am reluctant to do anything new!

Ahh, you didn't say specifically there was a man involved :D they dont' do hints, even if they expect you to be a mind reader, they won't attempt it themselves

You are not insignificant pet, although perhaps taken for granted?

So, do you actually want to do <insert whatever it was here>? Is it too personal to ask what it is?

Tots off to nursery in the dark. Flashing shoes, torches and hi-vis stripes :D I'm back here working from home. Will squeeze in some flying at lunchtime as I have a lot to catch up on from my week off!
