Thank you Natty for the list - looks hectic!

Can anyone suggests one recipes for using left over bread up? Just had a look in my fridge and it is mainly being taken up with left over crusts!

I make a mean bread pudding but my lot are getting bored of it ;)

  • Ok here goes this week!

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
    Level One
Empty out the fridge, replace what is inside after wiping it out, making sure what is needed first is at the front
    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
    Clean floors in these rooms
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, firdge, freezer etc)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it

Extra tasks if you want to do more
Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
Clean the dish drainer, make sure you clean under it too
Clen any 'medium' size appliances, bread makers, slow cookers etc
Clean out and organize one drawer, more if you like
Check the freezer, see what needs using up

    I'm in. Thank you natty68

You've lost me :rotfl: but I'd probably err on the former. Depending on how well I knew the person. Maybe they were just having a rant the day before?

Hope everything is well in the pen x

    Pigpen: Wot she sed.

Bossy It looks as though your difficult time is being extended. I hope you find that being back on the ward feels different, now that you're not involved in the same way. Fingers crossed your Granny's stroke is a mild one.

Pamsdish That was exactly the information I just knew was sputtering about somewhere in the back of my grey matter - that there was some chemical that would de-activate the synthetic muck it's made from. Thank you.

Lamewolf Lamb's wool in the Wolf's lair, eh? Soap suds will be used on mine, anyway.

Thanks for the list Natty. I'm in.

Obviously I'm just thick then.. great.

If it was just a rant yesterday I wouldn't have been quite so pee'd off about being asked today and then not getting to go..

It doesn't matter. I just feel totally insignificant and am actually rather upset, but my feelings aren't relevant.

How about savoury stuffed mushrooms? If your family don't like parmesan - then ignore as the taste is quite strong

Destalk a punnet of white mushrooms - using grater blade on food processor, grate the stalks - get handful of fresh parsley and make a "parsley" sandwich with your left over bread and force this through the food processor - add a small sachet of parmesan cheese, juice of a lemon, a bit of salt and slightly more of pepper to taste - stir this mix well - taste mix and adjust seasoning before adding enough melted butter to bind ingredients together.

Stuff mushrooms with mixture - a 4/5 mushroom portion should cook in microwave in 4 minutes

This recipe comes from over 20 years ago, when I worked in a well known steak restaurant with a salad bar :D:D but I haven't seen it on the menu for years, so I should be ok :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    hope this helps!

    totally random question for you..

if you were invited to do something for the first time and you were a bit anxious about it, but had complained mightily the day before about not being invited previously. Then you are again asked to do the same thing and you reply 'Not really but I complained so much yesterday I suppose I have no choice' .. would you assume that was a 'no I do not wish to join in' or a 'yes, I am anxious but I'll come anyway'?
I read it as a yes!

Thanks Natty for the list and I wil try and do more hopefully nothing to screw up my headthis week

Mustn't forget from the last thread
Bonnie bumpkins good luck with the job applications and sorry to hear about uncle

Busy day with hospital in morning, and Dr's in later afternoon, so I might only make level1 tomorrow - if I can't get to sleep in the small hours, then I might try and make a head start :rotfl:

Just because I am too stupid to understand what other people are saying doesn't mean they are insignificant or thick. It means that it is completely impossible that anyone known as Pigpen could possibly, ever, be anxious about anything, and therefore Post #8 must have been about someone the magnificent Pigpen knew (but definitely not herself).

I think you will find it is my second post that is correct.. I just assumed someone who supposedly knows me well would be able to understand the convoluted sentence meant I was admitting defeat and would come, apprehensively.. Obviously I needed to add a few 'Ug's' and grunts in there in order for it to be understood by a man who I am certain has never given a straight answer to any question he has ever been asked!!!

I have actually resorted to panic attacks over new experiences.. which is why I am reluctant to do anything new!
