  • Did you get it???? Come on, put me out of my suspense :D.

Hope you are soooo busy decorating it that you haven't had time to post.

Hope you did'nt do what I probably would, and get some distracted with all the pretty things in Ikea that I would end up spending a fortune.

Looking forward to an update :)

    Soooooooooooooo,

    I got a tree :j

And it's gorgeous! Didn't get a free one though, but did get the £20 voucher :j

We got there just before 10am, there was loads of trees outside. You picked your own tree, they tagged it for you and gave you a number. Inside to pay then back out and collect my tree :) Bought a stand for it as well, didn't even think about needing a stand

Bought a new door mat as well, £7 for a big heavy one. Dh is cutting it into three bits, two for inside the front and back doors and a thinner bit for outside the back door, how mse is that?!

And I found a tree decoration we bought a few years ago in the boot of the car, it's like twine with coloured jingle bells on it :T

Nipped into Braehead and pretty much finished off my Christmas shopping, pj's for the kids and my dads girlfriend, a furry body warmer for my mil and a few selection boxes as well. Just ordered my nephew a ps3 game from amazon with Swagbucks vouchers, been holding off as the price has been all over the place, £39, £42, £46... Got it today for £35 :j need to earn another voucher to buy my BIL his DVD, need two DVDs for a movie night hamper and two bags of popcorn, and I'm done :j

Off to make some soup, thanks for the suggestion StressedSteph :T

    Thank you :)

Love my dogs so much, they are my whole world :)

And people keep asking me to make some decorations for them, I'm seriously considering starting a business for next year :rotfl:

I'm just happy I made them. I said I wanted to, bought some ribbon to do it, and I actually done it! I'm sick of making excuses for myself, oh I don't have time, I forgot, I can't be bothered.... I need to stop letting life pass me by! Stop procrastinating!!

  • Wow I WANT one of your decorations. Get them on Ebay or start an Etsy shop. You have a great talent :T.

Your dogs are sooo gorgeous, Is Buddy a Lhasa Apso or A Shih-Tzu? We have had both in the past and they are such sweet dogs. Loads of grooming involved though :o.

Hope the week is going well for you.

They are both Lhasa's :) Bear likes to get brushed, Buddy not so much! He is more interested in eating the brush and chewing my fingers lol! Last few times Bear has needed clipped me and DH have done it. It takes hours, but we are getting better at it, and it's saving us £30-40 each time, per dog.... It would cost about £240 a year for both of them to get groomed! All I need is a bottle of baby shampoo, a few hours every few weeks, and lots and lots of patience!

I'm spending all my time googling handmade christmas decorations, getting ideas for things I can make. DH was laughing at me, saying I'm going to live my dream, having the house looking like christmas all year round :rotfl:

We have made our spare room upstairs into a workshop for DH to fix machines and guitars, but that work has almost dried up :( I'm thinking of making him tidy it up and move stuff so I can use it to sew. Feel a bit bad cos I'm actively pointing out that he isn't bringing in money, but...... I want a sewing room! (insert smiley for stamping my feet lol)

Just got the puppy insured, £11 a month with £70.70 cashback.
Need to sort out a savings account not linked to my online banking, to save my virtual pot for 2013 in. Don't want to see the total every time I log in to my bank.

Oh, and I need to decorate the tree tonight :j It's the most wonderful time of the year :j

  • Aaah Bless Bear, I thought he was Westie or yorkshire terrier. How cute they both are. We used to trim our Shih-Tzu's hair, Its so expensive.

Well done you for getting that massive cashback for the pet insurance. you effectively got it so £6 per month :T

You definately ought to make more stuff. What about Birthday, Easter Bunting?? Bet you would be good at that.

Pin cushions, Childrens PE/Swim Bags with their names embroidered on, Aprons, Door-stops, Fabric hearts. I have endless ideas and no skill. You should do it xxx

Ps. Have fun with the tree xx

Oh don't start, too many things to google now! :rotfl: this is what keeps me off sewing, googling other things to sew:rotfl:

I've been looking for an embroidery machine, just something that can do nice fonts so I can add names etc to things. But wow, the price of them?!?!! That's something that I might buy in a few years time, or when I actually start sewing more regularly.

I noticed some 'cheap' embroidery machines on Amazon for around £400, DH said I should use my swagbuck vouchers and buy myself one :rotfl: Ever the optimist lol

I'm going to make an apron, possibly this weekend. A woman I know runs different sewing classes, she has one this weekend for making an apron and oven glove. £50 for the class, bring your own fabric and machine etc. I would love to go, but well, I cannot justify the cost. Especially not as I could make an apron myself at home, I've just never actually done it before. Maybe I will do it this weekend, instead of spending £50 I could save £50 by just getting on with it and doing it!! :j

Another procrastination that I will banish!!
