Interestingly I have been watching this buyer now (a touch of OCD I fear) and a neg he left for someone last month has disappeared from his 'feedback left for others' page.
Is it a case of it disappearing completely?
[Which I'm guessing this implies eBay removed it].
Or is it still there, but the rating removed?
[Which suggests to me that the buyer removed the rating after getting the seller to agree to some unreasonable demand, such as refund AND keeping the item].
I'm thinking, if eBay have had to intervene before, this should be helpful!

It has completely gone, there is no trace of it at all.
I am obsessing a bit and I keep checking his account on eBay and goofbid and he had left a neg referring to a rude seller only about 2 weeks ago- and it is not there so seller obviously got it removed on some basis . It was a bit ranty and I am absolutely sure now that this is either two people using the same account or someone with an 'issue' because the style of their feedback and language changes. There are still some older ranty negs and a neutral but also some really lovely gushing feedback in a completely different style.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That reminded me of the vilest customer I had and they hadn't even paid for anything. I'd sent a few messages and then opened a dispute. It was before non payers were stopped from leaving feedback, so he left the most disgusting feedback possible. I got it removed within ten minutes. They also ended up having their account suspended.I am obsessing a bit and I keep checking his account on eBay and goofbid and he had left a neg referring to a rude seller only about 2 weeks ago- and it is not there so seller obviously got it removed on some basis . About two weeks later I received a message from his girlfriend, apologising for his behaviour and asking to complete the sale, I declined.
Shared accounts can often be a nightmare, for buyers and sellers..0 -
Soolin, it sounds like your buyer has no idea of boundaries, and in that sense, the best result would be that they lose the plot (as last time they left a neg) and leave the kind of comment that eBay would instantly remove, without hesitation.
I think I've only got negative feedback removed once, which required me to fill out a form and fax it back, and it did disappear. (Although it was years ago).
It would seem that the buyer was reported by the previous seller and eBay dealt with it, so you'd like to think a buyer "with previous" would be dealt with even faster, second time around.
Probably they swiftly became an ex-shared account and ex-girlfriend!About two weeks later I received a message from his girlfriend, apologising for his behaviour and asking to complete the sale, I declined.

As I've previously banged the drum about, if one person can leave you a series of bad feedbacks and bad stars, then the system doesn't work, isn't fair, and makes eBay an unattractive place to do business.
Ive said it before, and I'll say it again. THE STAR SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. It causes sellers too much anguish, and also isn't a fair way of doing things anyway. Positive and Negative was fine. They don't need this star crap as well.
My "item as described" star went down from 4.92 to 4.83 when ONE single person left ONE single low star. So, that means that out of 700 transactions that people were happy with, only one wasn't, but if there are just two more, my business is under permanent threat.
How can that possibly be fair, or right?0 -

My calculations suggest this one person cannot move me below 4.9 on any one of my stars, it was only my expanded dashboard I cared about as I wanted to retain my TRS.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm glad you've worked out you can retain your TRS, thats great news :-)
My other concern is that sellers are continuously petrified that one person could wreck their livelyhood. I don't believe its fair.0 -

The daft thing is - most of the stories we hear are from people with 100% positive feedback - so they must be doing something right.
A seller can have loads of negs and be unaffected - unless they attack their stars too.0 -
My item has not yet been returned but at least the nasty emails have stopped.
I am worried though that if item was sent back on Saturday it is a bit late- fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow.
The good news is that with the increased sales at the weekend and lots of feedback having been left today my percentages have gone up and I am in a better position to be able to retain my TRS even if I do get hit with low stars across the board.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
