Your husband has to cancel the account himself with sky. He just needs to bite the bullet and do it. Yes they can be persuasive and give good offers etc, but he sticks to his guns, doesn't get drawn into a long conversation about what he watches, doesn't watch etc etc. Just keep saying 'no thanks, can you please just cancel it'. I ended up saying to the lassie who took my call that I used to work for sky (I did, in customer retentions
), I was really sorry that she was taking a hit but I was definately cancelling, please don't waste your time on my call. She just said 'Oh' and cancelled it for me. Felt a bit guilty tbh but.... Done now!
It's like a band aid, rrrrrip it off quick! Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Morning Diary.
Pinot - I am terrible with coffee, but if I over-do it, I feel quite paranoid and jittery. Have to be carefull.
Zepsgal - Well Done on cancelling - I would cancel in a flash but hubby is holding on tight to it and to be honest we have around £900 to throw at debt each month, so not a desperate need to cancel it, so I won't push him to breaking point by cancelling SKY. hehe
Did'nt quite get round to calling SKY last night. Will definately do it tonight.
Sold another £100 worth of stuff on fleabay today :T.
I am hoping to make at least another £200 during February and beyond. It makes such a difference.
My Overdraft is heading to be -£1655 at the end of this week :T, abit scared to ACTUALLY record it at this level in my signature because unless I do some more REAL heavy selling, it will fluctuate between -£1655 to -£1800 over the next few months.
Need to bank a cheque and post a couple of parcels today, but am in catch 22, because I really don't want to use any more fuel. It is a 14 mile round journey to the nearest B#arclays.
Haven't decided what to do but would really like to see the cheque in the bank.
Got lots of cleaning to do today and feel abit like doing it, which is unusal so will sign off now and get hoovering
Speak later x0 -

Thanks LL & PMO2.
Can't help feeling abit emotional today. (TMI Warning!!), I think it is probably because Aunt Flo is visiting but I feel like everyone has been trying to get me to spend money the last few days.
Yesterday a friend was trying to get me to book tickets with her to take our children to see Ben & Hollys Little Kingdom" at the theatre. DD loves Ben & Holly but I was good and said no.
Another Friend called this morning and was asking if we were going to a comedy night at the local pub this weekend and how EVERYONE will be there, had to say no.
And MIL rang today going on about some clothes she had bought out of a magazine that were 70% off and were a real bargain, and did I want her to send the brochure over etc etc.
aaaarrrgggghhhhh. I KNOW its mainly me being over sensitive but I just feel abit miserable and get the feeling I want to hide to stop all these temptations.
OK, Vent over, thanks Diary for soaking up my issues and giving me somewhere to let off steam.
Off to kick myself up the bum and carry on......I am not sure when life got so hard0 -

I'm back to give you a boot up the bum ! Im good at that !:rotfl:
Seriously though everythingyou feel is totally understandable.
We want to give our children the treats and the fun things....as has been said to me on numerous occasions ( not that I really wanted to listen ) , there will always be another time.
Wanting to hide - perfectly normal given the situation but not healthy, I am currently doing the same though. Would the Comedy night have to cost loads of money ? Sometimes a night out and a break from thinking about everything does the power of good. Maybe use a little of the ebay money you have earnt ? I have over the last year realised that I do need to give myself a bit of a break from time to time, I think it would be good for you to do the same.
New Clothes - For me thats the worst, not that I was a big clothes spender before this, but I went into complete meltdown this time last year over it all. I went completely to the extreme refusing to buy a jumper or put the heating on so sat and shivered instead. That wasnt healthy either ! My Sister has been spending up a storm in the sales this year and keeps ringing to tell me about her latest purchases, I, in the meantime have only set foot in a shop once since christmas and that was to buy school shoes. Pretty depressing but thats the way the cookie crumbles for me at least while I am sorting this!
Hope this doesnt sound like a lecture it is meant to make you feel better or that you think I am writing all about me, I was just trying to help you understnad that you arent on your own .:o I am by no means an expert in this !!
You are doing really really well, remember that, dont beat yourself upLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Ditto everything that PG said! I guarantee you will feel better about everything again when Aunt Flo leaves, but for the meantime, be good to yourself and have a little treat when needed XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
I have to agree with the girls, a little treat now and then will keep you sane and on track! How much would the comedy night cost? You know laughter is good for you, right?
It won't help that AF is here, but you will feel better when she goes! Or when you eat chocolate, or pasta, whatever is your 'thing'
You are doing a wonderful job of managing all this pretty much single handedly! Give yourself a break and a pat on the back for what you have achieved so far!
