You won't be there all day, unless you get a trainee like me :rotfl: My god, I'm making myself feel really old now, it feels like a lifetime ago that I took a hairdressing course!! I was 16, straight out of school, let loose on dummy heads, classmates and finally, the general public
Good thing with these courses is that they only have a set time limit for each class. So cutting is taught from 9am-10.30, colour from 10.45-12 noon, then lunch, then blowdrying from 1pm-2.45pm etc. When they book the public in as clients, the colour and cut class gets combined, so 9am til 12 noon is the alloted slot. You will definately be out for lunchtime, don't worry
Haha phew......I had visions of getting a numb bum and jitters from too many coffee's :rotfl:0 -

Ohhhh glad you had a lovely lunch & catch up
shame about the hair ..... I really miss my pal that used to live along the road from me and was a fully trained masseuse and hairdresser *sigh* really cheap treatments & hair cuts / colours for years (I'm now paying the price now tho':rotfl:)
Unfortunately the nearest college to me would cost at least £10 in fuel to get toCan't wait to hear how it goes!
Really windy & horrid & wet here too - it was torrential rain earlier but managed to get Maisie out but the wind was awfulmy hat did nothing to stop it going straight through to my ears ...... glad we're back and I don't need to go out again!
My letter box is clattering (doesn't do that often - must be the direction of the wind?) - and I can hear neighbours wheelie bins blowing around- think I may just go and grab mine now & stick them in the garage .... or do I stick the car in the garage instead?

Hi Rising,
How lovely to have a friend that would do cheap hairdo's and massages. Shame she moved away
Wind has died down here now, hope yours has. (Hehe sounds like we have been on the baked beans) :rotfl:
Well....Have packaged up all 13 parcels for Fleabay postage tomorrow morning. All the postage charges come to £39. Just got to hope I have calculated it correctly now and the actual postage comes in lower than that. I have been abit rubbish in the past. Think I was working on 1985's postage costs .
Not much else to report. Got 10 more items listed to end this weekend. Bids on most of them, Total is at £88 at the moment but should go alot higher. Fingers Crossed.
I really need to make another £200 in February, to keep my OD amount coming down. Not much left to sell now of any value. Mind you I have said that before and I keep finding stuff :rotfl:

I had my hair coloured at college once. It wasn't highlights, it was a full colour, but I was really pleased with the outcome. My friend's daughter did it and she gave me a voucher for £10 off my treatment (making it £6), so I have her the £10 instead as I was fully expecting to have to pay £16 for it. She was chuffed to bits. Trouble is, it's cheaper for me just to colour my own (<£5 a box) so I never went back.Emergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0

Hi Housework Fairy,
I somtimes wish I had the guts to go back to being brown. Then I could safely tint my hair with a box colour.
Trouble is, I am in a catch 22 situation now. If i want to go back to brown it would cost me a fortune in a salon, but highlights can be touched up quite cheaply.
Really hopeful for the college, If I pay £25 every 3 months, (instead £65 every 6 weeks) then that will save me £465 per year :T.0 -
Morning Diary
I was a good Fleabayer this morning and posted off all my 13 packages. For once I had accidentally charged too much for the postage and made an extra £15 more than I thought I had :T.
Got 10 items still listed. so doing well :j.
After being out most of yesterday I really need to get some jobs done today.
Todays List
Ironing
Make a Chicken Pie
Clean up kitchen
General tidy around
(Keep eyes open for Fleabay Items)
Think I might first tidy up the kitchen to make it presentable. always embarrassing if someone turns up at lunchtime and the breakfast dishes are still on the table.
Then I will do my ironing - I have lots of programmes on the planner that I need to catch up with.
That reminds me - We currently have SKY in hubbys name.
I REALLY need to get it put in my name so that I can haggle reductions with them etc.
I have read that they are never very happy about switching names on an account, and it is often better to just cancel one and re-start in another name.
So I need to get hubby to cancel his SKY account tonight, and then I can apply for it in my name. Through TopCashback you can get £100 back :T.
Haven't pushed it so far, because hubby HATES having to make phone calls or being hassled when he gets home from work. But this is the last thing that I haven't really addressed yet and I must get it done. Currently it is £65 per month .
Anyway, hope everyone is well. Speak later0 -
Morning hun,
Well done on posting your items and £15 extra? What a bonus!
Good looking list there you have today.
Good luck with the Sky account, hope you get it sorted. x0 -
good luck with Sky. they are a right ball ache. but they may drop the price with your husband if he is cancelling. i know you dont get the £100 cashback, but does save some of the hassle (and losing all your programmes)Facing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95
back to work after baby -Jan 2014 - total [STRIKE]6905.28 [/STRIKE](1 credit card) £3535

Thanks PMO2 & LL.
I am hoping hubby can speak to SKY, give the authorisation and then I can speak to them myself. Trying to get him to haggle or cancel is going to be very tricky. MEN!!!
Well, have cleaned the kitchen, done the ironing, nearly finished making the chicken pie.
MIL has been on the phone, but I ignored it:o:o.
She asked me to pick her some sewing bits up the other day but I haven't got them (the shop I went to did'nt sell them). I know when I speak to her she will be bugging me to get them and I really can't afford the petrol.
Think I am just not in the mood.
Just going to sit down with a coffee and repair a couple of items of clothing. a Pair of DD's school tights have a hole in the foot and the fancy dress clothes we had to buy for New Years eve are all washed, ironed and ready to go on Fleabay. But noticed there was a split seam on hubby flares, so going to repair those before putting them on sale.
Not sure how well fancy dress sells in January, but going to give it a go. I cost us nearly £100 from the fancy dress shop. TOTAL rip off.
Anyway, enough of my weird post. Speak to you all later.
Feel like I have drunk too many coffees today and I feel a little bit wired!!. Ooops0
