  • I LOVE bread and butter pudding. I've just made banana and shredded wheat muffins - all very slimmer friendly but not a patch on bread and butter pudding.
Well done being so organised for the week ahead. Hopefully I can take a leaf out of your book. I have 3 things left to do today (one of which is mark 13 books, which will take at least an hour, maybe 2) but have done the chicken dinner so should be making plans for lunches and leftovers.

:( Did'nt get to make the Bread and butter pudding.

Made a chocolate cake for next week and some yorkshire puddings, and ran out of eggs :(

Will make it tomorrow when my Mr T delivery comes :D

Great way to use up old bread instead of throwing it to the birds
  • thinking of buying an actifry can anyone please tell me can you only cook chipe in this machine or can you cook home made breaded chicken or homemade breaded fish, Husband fishes as a hobby and i,m worried it might break up. Thanks in advance
  • Hi,

I am just looking in my Actifry cooking book.

No mention of any fish at all. It only mentions Prawns & Mussels in the fish & seaford section.

It has a recipe for Tasty Chicken Bites - Weird recipe - minced chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, parmesan & eggs. Mixed together and rolled into balls. 10 minutes in the actifry.

You can cook great bolognaise sauce, chilli con carne, mostly anything that is a sauce that you could slow cook.

I haven't been very adventurous. All I use it for is chips, wedges and quick Roast potatoes, when I am not roasting any meat. They are VERY good.

Hope this helps. they arn't cheap, but I bought it before I had my LBM. They must be ALOT healthier and its so much cleaner to tidy up and clean than a smelly chip fat fryer.

I used to chuck my oil fryer away once it got dirty. Could'nt face the humongous job of trying to get it all cleaned up :o

    Hi Diary

Have sold 13 items of fleabay tonight.:j
    Total of £157.50 :D

Guess I have to account for 10% Ebay fees = £15.75
    and 3.5% Paypal fees = £5.51

    £157.50 - Minus fees £21.26 = £136.24 :T

    Not bad work.

Have 10 other items still active that won't finish until end of next week. I have tried not to be sentimental and have listed my last 3 gold family rings.

Not sending them to any gold postal company though, trying for top price on fleabay. We will see if they sell.

All of this helps kill of my huge overdraft. :)

Got to buy some brown paper or something tomorrow, have run very low on any packaging materials. Thankfully nothing is china so not too hard to wrap up.

Seriously running low of anything else to sell now. although its amazing what you find when you are desperate.

I was in hubbys shed yesterday and he said he gets very nervous when he sees me standing there, staring at stuff. He knows I am valueing everything in my head, and he is scared of what I am going to take to sell :rotfl:
  • Beeping beep! That's fantastic on the sales Steph!:j

Quick question - as I've not sold for years (but did sell something the other day!) .... do they automatically take the fees off your pay*pal account?

If not - how do you pay them?

Chuckling at the image of you wandering around DHs shed .... closely followed by an anxious DH ... can just picture him thinking "OM, I must hide that or she'll have it sold:eek:" :rotfl:
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

I found my "e*bay packaging file* when I was clearing out the garage a few weeks ago :j - still got loads of stuff in there (used to bulk buy - but I did sell a lot of stuff as I ended up buying clearance items & re-selling individually;)) so that should keep me going for a while

I also buy a lot of the pets stuff online and quite a lot of it comes in those padded envelopes ... I've got lots of them (they're such a pain to keep as they take up sooooooo much room!)

If you need anything like that or plastic envelopes, drop me a PM and I'll have a look and see if I've anything suitable - I'm only selling the odd thing just now so can spare it. HTH

Must admit rising, I am not completely sure about Paypal, have only really been selling in ernest during January.

I can't see anything in my Paypal account that shows them taking any money from me, so I think it is going to be withdrawn from either my Paypal balance or bank account at the end of every month.

It is abit tricky, and I am trying to pre-empt the amount they will take, so I can allow for it in my spreadsheet. Not in the mood anymore for nasty surprises ;)

    xxx
p.s It made me laugh you mentioning Dh, because thats exactly what he does, or if I do find something to sell, he tries to bargain that the profits should go towards his shotgun fund  Grrrr not likely
  • Re seller fees, you get an invoice giving you a few days notice of your fees every billing period (calendar month). At this point they then take them from your paypal balance if there is money in there or your bank account if not. Alternatively, you can request that they take outstanding fees immediately by going through the seller account bit and selecting 'pay now' but that only works on the full site not the mobile app Xx
    Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida
  • Update for Rising.

Apparently its only Ebay that bill you monthly. Paypal take their fee from your sale profit immediately.

That is good news, I don't have to brace myself for an extra bill :j

    Thanks PLMBL

I was going to do that, just to get it paid and done with. But was abit nervous as apparently, today, the 27th, is the date they take the fees. So did'nt want to risk paying them twice.

Its nice to know that I can do that though, as sometimes you just want to get the bill paid and gone, so you don't have to worry about a nasty surprise.

    Thanks hun
