IMO you would start a thread on relationship issues on the new Couples board and issues relating to your partner's children or your parents on the old Families board (new name is too long!).
Just thinking perhaps they changed the name from 'Marriage ..' so it was more inclusive to same sex couples. :think:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

That way if your question was specific to pregnancy/kids there would be somewhere obvious to post it and the other board wouldn't distinguish between someone's marital or co-habiting status. As it is, I can't imagine that Grandparents would be particularly interested in pregnancy threads....yet they're now shoved in with them.
'Families' is fine though, it covers everything, and its really really easy to not read threads you aren't interested in. It wasn't just relationships.
The other board I tend to read is DT and literally anything can come up on there, it works just fine (well, in its own way!) without having to split off into loads of sub-categories.0 -

Agree grandparents is a strange bedfellow for TTC and the like. Then where would singles issues go? I like SandC's idea about a Friendship board, maybe that should come in here with Singletons, that doesn't have a home either and obviously us singles are friendly.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Am i not alllowed to look on here now...
Being not single and all!
I really don't see why it needed dividing the way it did, i preferred having all the posts together, if i didnt want to read something i just glossed over it. Now i'm going to end up having to check over 3/4 forums than just one :mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I just hate the word singleton. Always misread it as simpleton.
I'd like to come back out of my ghetto now please. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I'll stay on this forum. Unloved... unwanted... a social outcast... Must stop typing, the tears from my isolation are ruining my keyboard.... And I'll make sure I'll not taint all the boards of the happy people in their relationships. I didn't know that singletoness was catching.
Hang on. I've just had a thought. Do you think that we are corrupting their boards with our talk of watching what we want on the tv, eating what we want and generally having a nice time.:D0 -
Shout clear, shout loud
