    Lol

I polish my chrome towel rail every week - I use Mr Sheen and a microfibre glove so as I can get 'round' each 'tube' :rotfl:
    (I like shiny things;))

I bought a radiator brush from Lakeland to swoop down the back of the radiators and in the 'fins' - I had the vacuum going underneath - was like a reverse chimney sweep!

Radiators get disgustingly dusty. As do the backs of wall-hung pictures!

When I moved here I found a washable breast pad down the back one of my radiators. :rotfl:

Mumto5 - grr at your DH for overruling - how he expects you to retain the respect of DS I don't know - not IMO, especially as (IIRC) DH isn't around quite a lot of the time.

    Lamewolf - hope you're ok

I've hoovered every flippin day cos the dog is in full moult and we feel like we're eating the stuff as there is so much coming off him, I've brushed him several times too - its the worst its ever been. Kiddies have either started at or finished schools, DD will be starting her new one on Monday so I've had to do uniform shopping - oh what fun thats been, also done visits to new school blah, blah, blah

Helen are you happy with the school choice you got in the end?

Just realised I missed taking DS1 to the chiropodist yesterday, will have to ring and apologise on Monday.

DS3 is a right foul mood.

Just doing a little pottering sorting out some paperwork.

  • I would never have thought of using Mr Sheen, Valli so will give that a go next time.

Question for everyone. I always wash all my bathroom fittings/tiles/chrome etc., with a wet cloth and whatever product is to hand, and then have to go over it all again with a microfibre cloth to get rid of all the water marks that dry on in order to make it all shiny and smear free. No wonder I hate doing the room as basically, I am going over it twice. What "obvious" pearls of wisdom am I missing so that I can do it all in one fell swoop?

Well, I'm still feeling really rough (thinking flu not a cold) so I've done nothing but upset people today :( and one of which has been very hurtful back  so now all I want to do is cry.
I shall be waiting til DD1 leaves the house before decluttering the tears.
I think AF maybe arriving early this time which hopefully accounts for the moods and not just the BD biting back again
It's done nothing but rain here today and is very dark :( so the dog will only see the garden today :o
Going to clear the airer, do the DW as the dishwasher fairy never appeared yet again  Then some yummy flu powder drink _pale_, sofa, duvet and a bit of James Bond (again) :)

Dusty - we got DS into a cracking little school, couple of teething probs for the 1st couple of days but the rest of the week was brill. DD is starting on Monday at the only school which we could get her into, its improved a hell of a lot over the last18 months [lots of new staff and new head team] so I'm expecting her to settle in ok but if not we'll be letting them know sharpish and expecting answers to probs! DH is brilliant at talking to people about stuff thats causing probs for the kiddies - I just get mega annoyed and then can't articulate myself properly so he'll do the initial dealings and I'll follow up once calm. Thanks for asking :] Hope you are feeling a bit better - not like you to feel poorly :[

    Helen x

PS - My list from above has been updated :]]
Also - WM x 2, washed up, wiped tops, sorted some gibble

Well Mr Sheen makes things shiny. I wipe the worktop with that too (it shifts the water marks) and my tiles aren't shiny ones. I just wipe to dry with a bit of old towel - but to clean I use a bathroom sponge, something on the bath (cif mousse atm, was on offer;)) and cif-type cream on the loo and basin. I like cleaning my bathroom...:rotfl::A:cool::D:D:D:p
