IMO Santa's Elf should be channelling Zoey Deschanel - well I'm more Dawn French (inc GSOH) so not too sure :rotfl: I would make a SUITABLE Elf!

Have made a list of liitle frogs and dealt with them. Payday (phew) so a CC payment has gone VERY early. Meters read, readings input, comedy downloaded. I washed towels, they've dried, I washed a load which is on the line, one lots of bedding in WM now; when it's out I'm off out. Next load of bedding here, ready to go in. Jobshare texted. I haven't tipped her off re the elf thing...thought I'd let the boss do that! I have also added a couple of CDs to my wishlist; eldest neice has already asked what I want. I am sort of not looking forward to Christmas as my youngest sister will not be with us; she'll be in Oz!

Morning everyone, am sneaking on here before DH comes back from his walk with the dogs :p

Welcome back to the returnees and a warm welcome to the newbies :D
Re-folded remaining spare tea-towels Anthea style and had enough space in box to fold up some cleaning rags too!
Skintbreeder Well done you, I bet it looks lovely and neat too. I know I can get so much more in the airing cupboard/drawers when I do the towels and tea towels like this. Trouble is I am even doing the same folding with my underwear..ooops!

Sorry to hear so many of you aren't feeling well, or hve family members not too chipper (I may exclude Natty from this, given I felt EXACTLY that way, oooh... about 20 years ago come January - and DS will be 20 next September;))
Valli I so did not want to hear that..lol I am trying to convince myself it is just a bug that won't go away..lol Well it does go away - but at night.:p And then comes back in the mornings or whenever I wake up. I have started munching mints to help the feeling. Besides it must be a bug as I haven't even had AF for this month yet..:o

KazM keeping fingers crossed for you later this morning. Knock them dead :D
KazW That is not good news on the flooding, hope those responsible for building the carpark are made responsible. Hope no-one was hurt and it was just the cars that are damaged.

Well DH fed the birds this morning so can't say which birds came in the garden..but I do know we have a new addition. DH was so pleased that he told me once I was awake :D A sparrowhawk!!! This is the third time it has been in our garden perched on something. I think it may now be a regular and feels safe in the garden..strange bird!! And it isn't someone's bird as it is not clipped and doesn't have a little hood on. :D It's quite a lovely looking bird too but gave me a start when I saw it for the first time.. DH is happy that he has finally seen it as he loves birds of prey, well all sorts of birds really :D Trouble is I think our harvest mouse population might dwindle a bit now he has taken up residence in the garden - will have find a name for him now.

Won't be getting a lot done today as DH is home and wants to do things..like christmas shopping etc..

Hope you are all looking forward to the lists next week as I will be putting some extra Christmassy things on them, seeing as we are a month away now.

Gentle hugs to those that are poorly or have poorly littlies. :)

Ok on to my dailies and finding another mint..lol

  • Well, I got a reasonable nights sleep but feel worse for it....really don't get it.

Got WM x 2, and TD x 2 before plasterer arrived and then the propellers stopped and the plane fell out of the sky - no more flying for me!

.....no nursery for DS today and he is bouncing off the walls, my carpel is bad this morning and fly-baby is stuck on sciatic nerve, so flying is almost impossible dragging a numb leg behind me, and DS doesn't want any TV and wants to play trucks on the floor with me all morning -I obliged for a little while but it took me forever to get up afterwards.

I am looking at laundry baskets of clean washing to be folded and put away - knowing there is more following in the utility right now -

Anyone want to join for a quick 15 mins folding instead of HHI as I think it's all I can manage ATM :o join at 11???
The cold never bothered me anyway

GWS vibes to everyone who is coughing, snuffling, feeling ick generally, under the weather and with poorly wrists. Also, good luck vibes for Kazmeister for the 11.30 interview.

Big flying day for me - the shed in a field we laughingly call a holiday chalet has an unexpected late let, so I need to give it a thorough scrub. I've washed all the duvets and pillows already, so there are four beds to make, two smoke alarms to reconnect and a shower to de-pink. The kitchen sink could do with a bit of attention as well. As we're spending Christmas there with another doggy couple (so two dogs) all of this is a bit of a waste of energy, but I want it to be nice to for these people.

As I was typing this, the company connected with the co*k up with the carpet washer phoned, the lovely H from their Customer Service Department. She has apologised and I am satisfied that they have taken the whole catastrophy seriously. They have also refunded the full value of the entire order - machine and chemicals, so I couldn't ask them for any more. I think, in the end, they have behaved well and she is going to look into the areas of my complaint letter that made the original problem worse as it progressed. .
    Better is good enough.
