DD2 arrived home soaked to the skin tonight - jeans, coat, boots, gloves - all wringing wet - and her mascara was round her mouth....
At this point DD1 pointed out that DD2's new coat - has a HOOD!
DD2 a cross between very embarrassed and fuming....
Bossymoo - hope tomorrow brings more settled tums for your little ones....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Welcome Narc!
CY - hope DD2 dries out and sees the funny side in the morning!
Just checking in for a quick lurk as the forum goes offline in a bit - going to update my progress from earlier, but it's very slow going! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I'm probably your first wave
Where are all Santa's Elves when you need them. I'm off to start the wrapping marathon.
Back later (waves to Valli)
I'm sure you were! (first wave) We could meet up at I(cof) sometime! (any excuse;))
and I have NARROWLY missed being Santa's Elf at the school xmas fair. I have skilfully suggested my job share for this - she has the figure and she knows KS1 as she does cover in there - my excuse and I'm sticking to it.;)
I have decluttered sweets and chocolate form my sisters, a bag of clothes (officially for Rags collection but I now realise there are M&S items in there so who knows)
Journey back was awful; crash at Leicester Forest; would assume, from state of vehicles that people won't have been injured so not all bad...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

3 thrifty money saves, one big froggy letter dispatched, lots of medically inclined things done - DD2 to and from hospital this morning all good but file left open in case of deterioration , visit to my pharmacy to put in my repeat prescription - allowing me one more monthly visit on the quick before Xmas to ensure enough to tide me over to New Year. Same visit and convo but with DS pharmacy for his prescription milk, visit to Dr's to take back TWO contaminated sharps boxes, book my whooping cough vaccine, try to get them to do Flu jab even though I sound like I am coughing up a lung to make sure I don't catch it again after C section otherwise I will end up coughing myself in half like a poorly executed magic trick :rotfl: check if my GP wants to see me before flybaby gets here, check if DD1 can get an appointment in her GP's diary for January before she goes back to Uni, picked up flyer for baby clinic dates so I know what is going on when for Flybabygets here :eek::eek:
went to bank for cash for plasterer in the morning - rolled up hallway rugs to minimise damage when he arrives.:( hoovered and mopped ready
27 fling boogie in the car - those Green carrier bags in boot, VERY VERY useful today!
27 fling boogie in Utility x 3 - counter tops all cleaned and washed down - while putting gubbins away found "missing" animal shaped cookie cutters that I wanted for DS when I made HM play dough the other week:D:D
washed up all dustpans and brushes
made up a stain treating laundry trug:D:D
made up a microfibre cloth trug - to ensure can all be used without chemicals/solutions etc and when slung in WM can go together with NO CONDITIONER
soaking all dishclothes in bucket ready to bung in WM in the morn
shined my sink
transferred a week supply of DW tabs to DW tub under kitchen sink
put away empty trigger bottles, ready for HM solutions at a later date
emptied all my rubbish, recycling and compost bins out to the front ready for 7am collection - cleaned, sterilised and re-bagged all bins ready for coming week
WM, TD and DW all set on timers for cheap electric :money:
de-cluttered my main email and my freecycling/freegling email to prevent them getting into tens of thousands of unread emails :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
watered and turned tomato plant in porch - I now have about a dozen orange coloured tomatoes - so may be ready for picking soon if they get enough daylight
Almost falling asleep onto keyboard (good sign I might get some kip) will try and check in before plasterer arrives in the morning and clear off a lot of today's (Thu) list while downstairs loo has gaping holes repaired and smoothed out!
Night night one and allThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
