Morning all - I have 2 paid cleaning jobs today so won't be doing anything at home until after dinner this evening. At least the kids haven't anything in their social calenders tonight, so it would be a good chance to catch up then.

    Dust the mantle/coffee table
    Level Three
    Hoover the stairs
    Wipe the bannisters
Test your smoke alarms, ensure you have a spare battery now so that you don't need to remove one and not replace it.

    Extras
Are you ready for when it snows, salt (or cat litter), [STRIKE]snow shovel,[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]frozen bread (or stash of bread flour[/STRIKE]), frozen milk, torch and batteries, hot water bottles etc in case of power outage.

I've not had chance to go over the thread since Monday, but massive hugs and cheers to those as required.

Im so sorry to read of your woes with the carpet shampooer purchase - I feel slightly guilty as I suggested that company, and Ive never had any customer service problems with them myself - or I wouldnt have suggested :o

    T
Tyadog, I should have sent you a PM before I posted the start of the saga to say that you are not, under any circumstances, to feel responsible for the company's shocking behaviour. The carpet washer itself managed to get something out of the carpet that really, really should not have been there (dog bottom problems - eurch) that I thought was already dealt with, so I am immensely grateful to you for suggesting the model in the first place. The product itself seems to be just what I need, although I now realise I should spot clean the visible stains first in future.

The only reason I posted was because Dear Dusty Kitten, totally co-incidentally, suggested we check our bank accounts to ensure we didn't inadvertently go overdrawn.

Get well soon vibes to everyone who is going down with a lurgi or morning ickness (no typing error), it sounds as though several are doing the rounds and all I've got is a cold. I'm going girly shopping to Tavistock today, a trip a friend and I have been meaning to do for a year!

    Happy flying everyone.
    Better is good enough.

Hit the hotspots after 1 hrs wii exercise, showered and ready for anything.

Cut new trouser hems off pinned ready to machine before hand sewing final hem.

    Out tonight to computer course.

Just having coffee before I start sewing, might be hard to hand sew today as chocolate brown material and its dark with rain, and even electric light not the best.
Do I need it or just want it.
