Extras
Are you ready for when it snows, [STRIKE]salt (or cat litter),[/STRIKE] in porch from last winter hiding behind money plant- snow shovel - needs to decluttered from shed tomorrow and put in porch ready with the salt, knowing my luck the shed would get snowed in and I wouldn't be able to get into it when needed[STRIKE]frozen bread[/STRIKE] (or stash of bread flour) sesame bread rolls in stock from Mr I, [STRIKE]frozen milk[/STRIKE] - longlife milk and 2 weeks spare supply of cereal, [STRIKE]torch and batteries[/STRIKE] there is only one working one, and I need at least another one for upstairs, [STRIKE]hot water bottles[/STRIKE] etc in case of power outage x 8 all checked for leaks put in their own box
Extra extras - present bits and bobs from C0-0p and chocolatey stocking fillers from 99p shop, wrapped and hidden away
Got free recycling box off council.
Got 4 new door mats, two for the front porch and two for back door (I have cut the edges on my coconut mat so many times to neaten it up, it's like trying to wipe your feet on a flannel :rotfl:) hoovered up all the stray coconut fibres.
Now the house is getting really clean, it needs to smell really clean. Got 5 neutr@dols for porch, understairs cupboard, downstairs loo (ready for plasterer on Friday), main bathroom and ensuite, got 4 battery operated air fresheners for LR, my room, DD2 & DD3 room.
Sorted out carrier bag box as some had degraded at the bottom of the box. Neatened up bin-liners and compost caddy-liners in box.
Bagged up all old receipts for secure destruction.
Re-folded remaining spare tea-towels Anthea style and had enough space in box to fold up some cleaning rags too!
Cleaned out cupboard and put boxes differently so easy to reach stop cocks to turn water off in the event of burst pipes.
Did a 127 fling boogie on what I call "the man drawer" the one that has odd screwdrivers, tape measures, batteries, appliance manuals, takeaway menus etc- emptied onto the side, cleaned the drawer then flung at least half, made a pile for shed for things that I won't need for ages but don't want to throw, stuck one rubber band around menus, and another round manuals, loose change in the Roadkill pot, then put all little loose bits into smaller marg tubs to stop them floating around the drawer  Result I can see everything without having to scrape around the drawer:D:D:
Got loads of spare batteries of different sizes to make up a new battery box.
Got push button, battery operated LED lights for fuse box (so if someone mostly likely DS has run off with the torch I can at least see in there) and coat cupboard under the stairs and two spares for battery box, and put in their new homes.
Got some bolts to screw onto my wardrobe doors on the outside to stop DS pulling out my clothes and climbing up the inside of the wardrobe like a ladder(DS loves Spiderm@n)- TRIED to screw them in, but Carpel Tunnel very bad tonight - couldn't change the drillbit in the keyless chuck
and not enough pressure to force screws in without a pilot hole using ordinary screwdriver
- add to pile for DIY friend to do
Spent 2 hours on UCAS website getting DD2 form started - I refuse to do her personal statement, but helped with everything else - I must find her exam certificates as it asks for examining boards for EACH exam - I know they are someone safe and logical, but cannot remember where- so will hunt for them tomorrow.
Spot cleaned upstairs hallway carpet when DS decided emptying his drink on it would be a good idea
Well, it's stupid o'clock, I can't sleep but need to rest up, DS is awake with the missoggs, so here is hoping we both get back to sleep soon.
Have to de-clutter DD2 to hospital first thing before taking DS to nursery - I can't be in two places at once- then I shall make a start on leftovers from Wednesday list
See you all in a few hours:)The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Been feeling a bit nauseous for a couple of days and so darn tired it's unbelievable. Weird thing is the nausea goes away come the evening..weird!! And now I have woken up I am starting to feel nauseous again
and yes I could possibly be pregnant, as we are trying before it gets too late, but too early to tell, before anyone jumps in..lol
Anyway I am going to have a shower and see if I feel slightly better then get on with my dailies.
Ooooh, then lots of babydust winging its way to you and Mr NattyThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
I've been up for the last hour. Lost my temper with DH last night. We were discussing DS1. DH is talking to me with eyes on the blinking f00tball. I asked him to give me his full attention and he said he was whilst peering round me to see the tv. I really let rip and went to bed at 9pm. He sent me a text at 11.45 and has 'man cleaned' the kitchen and utility room.
He is WFH today and I'm not working either so we will either resolve things or make things worse. He's got his pre-op assessment next week and I want to get his blood pressure as low as possible. Marrital discord isn't the best way to achieve this.
2 x HHI was completed yesterday and I managed to complete the HHI in my bedroom yesterday morning. I've lost an important letter and thought it was there but it didn't come to light. I'm also searching for DD2's school reading bag which has been missing for 9 days. I intend to empty the coat cupboard in my next attempt to find it.
Love the waistcoats. Bossymoo you are so clever!
Lipstick was 'Skinny dip' Mrs Moneypenny.
I'm going to start the lunchboxes now.0 -

Hoover the floor and skirting boards
Wipe a window sill or two
From Valli
dust/vacuum or wash all light shades (pendant AND lamp) - a paintbrush makes an EXCELLENT duster for fabric-covered shades; glass shades really shine if washed in soapy water, rinsed and left to dry. IN PROGRESS...

Working today with very little help so I'll be cream crackered by the time I get home. Does flying at work count??
My boss is ill (I went in unpaid yesterday afternoon as the poor woman could hardly stand up) so I said I would cover Friday if she's still bad (she most likely will be) AS LONG AS I'M PAID  Should be interesting to see how this develops. Management choices are: 1. Shop closes as manager ill and no paid overtime (officially) - result is loss of takings £200 - £250) 2. Call in roving manager - he's paid for the day plus travel (£20-£30) 3. Let me do it paid, no travel paid. We are paid NMW so wage cost under £45. Hmmmmmmmmm  which is the best option??
I hope all poorly people and stressed people get some rest and relief today xx
bossy the little moos are gorgeous, the pic brought a tear to my eye. :A

Morning all, 2 down with sore thoats here. Poor DD didn't want to miss school but she's just not well enough. DS3 now playing tig with Lucky what a sight.
Plan today is to go and get my sister her b'day present (her b'day is today ).
Need to order a food shop, get a bath, few messages to do in town, make some phone calls for the charity, get the washing finished, get my bedroom finished. I would love to get stuff down outside but think i'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Right best get DS1 out to school, see you all later.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -

Morning!
Normal service is resumed. Sort of. We usually go swimming on Thursday's but both tots have had, erm, bottom issues, her last night and him this morning. She dealt with it really well considering she's only just a week out of nappies, but they've both said their tummies hurt
So, we are staying home today. Given the weather forecast, seems like a good plan. DS has asked if we can make biscuits later.

I have eaten a frog this morning which was on my list for months: write a list of phone numbers in case of emergency, so I have one for the car and one for the house. It's in case my phone runs out of charge, unlikely to happen at the same time as a breakdown I know, but didn't cost anything to do, just 10min of my time!
Have done the downstairs loo and dettol sprayed everything, plus got the antibacterial gel to hand and hope the tummy thing is short lived. They are both drinking so that's a plus!Bossymoo

Morning All!
Well it's not raining in York at the moment.... it will rain later but it is so nice to have it vaguely light at the moment...
Another 'bitty' day at yorkietowers - early to work for a meeting (they've allocated half an hour - I suspect we need the UN on this one...) then a trip to the station to get DD2 a train ticket for the weekend...
Went to see a local production of Calendar Girls last night - and I really enjoyed it. It is billed as being produced in association with our local hospice. DD1 is a volunteer in one of their shops so she went to help with a collection and i went to support her....
This year DD1 has asked her friends not to buy her presents but to make a donation to the hospice instead.... she has been interviewed by the local paper about this - the link is here:- http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/10063493.Sarah_sends_Santa_to_St_Leonard___s_Hospice/:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
