    Morning all

DS3 still ill, going faint at 6am as temp back at 104. mumto5 thanks, ear pain was short lived, I think it is viral, just have in one mind the whooping cough outbreak, DS1&2 had it in 1999. I'm still feeling hot, ear thermo doesn't work on DS1 and me so not sure how hot I am.

    Flying will be minimal

DH hung my handbag on the radiator last night when he went to bed. My fave lipstick has melted. The leather has cracked. He can't understand why I am upset. :-(

Need to get dressed. Kitchen S/S. DW unloaded.

It's a man thing......they have no understanding of what a "bag" means or the necessities of life that it contains, and lipsticks! well, to them one lipstick is very much like another as long as it is vaguely the right colour - yes we all have the grotty bargain basement lipsticks at the back of our makeup draw, but the favourite one always comes with us - and the grott stays in the drawer - I feel your pain on this one Mumto5 :mad::mad:

On a practical note......though is anything salvageable of your favourite lippy? Years ago, I had something similiar, so I transferred the melted mess than wasn't contaminated into a small jam jar (you know the ones, at the supermarket you get some fancy named "conserve" with enough jam to cover two slices of toast at best ;) ) - then I put the jar with a lip brush in my drawer and used that to get my face on for the day and bought a new one to take out and about for my bag .

If you have leather furniture if you have conditioning cream, might be worth putting some on the handbag and see if it can be rescued

If not, time to buy yourself new bag and new lippy - you can't be expected to go without til christmas and then end up with a lipstick for the back of the makeup drawer and a bag that isn't big enough/doesn't have the right compartments!
The cold never bothered me anyway

The lipstick is beyond salvage. Like you say it was my pricey Ben£fit fave one. My bag has seen better days but was not ready for the bin yet. I've dug out another one (no leather on this one!)

Going do HH tidying in my bedroom before work.

Good morning lovely Flyladies and Gents one and all, especially Bossy Moo and Little Moos..

Thank you Mrs MoneyPenny and everyone else who has been supportive. I've done everything that has been suggested, and my bank has been absolutely wonderful. I've kept them informed throughout and have also written them a letter enclosing some copy emails - which I must post this morning on the way to Lid1 to get the meat slices for one of the dog's medicine. The carpet washer was a nescessity because the dog is not at all well, but we're getting there with her, I think.

I am thrilled to say that because I can't concentrate on my usual work, I had a half-hearted go at tackling one of my personal monster hotspots yesterday ... and FOUND the book I ordered for OH for a certain time of year (see LW, I don't have to use the word itself) that has been lost for about six weeks.

... wanders off to go through the rest of the hotspot looking for the Donner Party, the crew of Marie Celeste and Shergar ....
    Better is good enough.

I agree, but personally feel that Mumto5's DH should foot the bill. Just my personal opinion.:o Mr LW would never dream of touching my bag without my express say-so. I generally keep the scooter keys in the middle bit, and if he goes to get the scooter out ready for me to dog-walk, I still have to tell him to help himself to the keys!:A He certainly wouldn't move it from where I'd put it, unless I expressly asked him to.

I'm feeling a little more like myself today - thanks everyone.:A

Dylan's arrival helps, of course:D (he's recumbent on the lounge floor as I type);:o also had a bit better night last night, though suffering enough to put my wrist splints on today. But.... that's at least in part because of having a better night. And I shall leave the rest to your over-active imaginations.;):D

I have to scrub the loo and wash-basin at some point; and I've put a vinegar-soaked cloth round the bath plug-hole, as there's a bit of limescale starting to appear. The area over the bath looks like a Chinese laundry; I did two WM loads this morning, and it's raining, so I've put the bath lift in the "down" position and have two A-frames over the bath!

I still have two tops to wash by hand - one has loads of sequins and beads on, the other runs better than Usain Bolt - but I think I'll wait til there's a smidgin of drying space available.:D

Bonnie candle colours are a purely personal thing; I often use purple for friends who are in the Summerlands, but that's just me.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
