    Hi everyone

Our Dec GC is now underway. I also bought two copies of the Mirror for my £5 vouchers and discount coupons (thanks for the tip!) and used the first today. I also bought a load of YS meat and masses of YS bread (really good reductions for a change which was brilliant :money:) on Tuesday that all went in the freezer for later in the month so that is going to come out of December's budget.

Total spend so far in £49.60 so just under budget for this week :j

Hope everyone has a lovely (if freezing) weekend

    PP xx

Doh just had a £40 spend at mr s. Had an emotional afternoon, and reacted by flashing the cash, please tell me I'm not the only one that stoopid?

Did get lots of baby wipes on offer though so well stocked in the small bottoms department... :D

Aww bless ya bossymoo, we all have moments like that. Tomorrow's a new day and all that jazz! ;)

Little spends today, part of it towards DD's Christmas Crafty party tomorrow. I did have a budget for bits for that but spent a little extra on treaty food. Total came to £14.23, £1.40 of that went in to my sealed pot tin for food from Mossy's Market. :D

I have 8 mini gingerbread houses to make so really need to get my bottom in to gear but had a full on day at school day and have a big old headache coming on! :o

I'm setting my December target for £665 which is what is left from my annual target for 2012 - this is still really extravagant (and I feel slightly ashamed it is so high :o) but is 50% less than this time last year so some real progress. This is my 12th month of GC and boy, have my habits changed over the year.

My budget is for everything food and SM related - so cleaning, toiletries, cat food and so on. I've got my Mum and DS home for Christmas and NY and a bit of a houseful across three days so a large turkey and beef rib ordered from the butcher.

    Good luck everyone!

  • Well the new budget was meant to start tomorrow, but I remembered it was St Andrews day today, and went to buy some Haggis and Whiskey to mark the occasion (we don't typically celebrate St Andrew's in Scotland, but as I now live in England, I thought I should mark the occasion!). Total spends = £16.20, as I bought a bottle of wine, and some yellow labels while there. I will round that down to £10 though, as I don't think I should include spirits in my grocery spends. A half bottle will last a year for me! Still have to go buy breakfast and lunch food for next week, but have to keep costs below £10, so that will be a good challenge!
  • Starting my December budget today after sucess with last months budget. Good news on the jobfront-I seem to have got a job as housekeeper for a bereaved family. hours will have to be worked out as needed because the poor guy doesnt know what he needs right now. Early morning starts for 3 days a week we think! Glad I "offered my services" now as it will be better paid than retail work! Ds will eventually be paying to run the second car so that will be a bit less for my outgoings. we are getting sorted! Just need to find DD a job.Eldest DDs car was written off so she now needs to find another. So much has happened in the last month since my husband died. Some good and some bad. The most active month of the year though.2013 just has to be better than 2012. Armed with new budget, new filing cabinet(given to me)planners and lots of good intentions. Think positive! I tell myself not to worry about the future-it sorts itself out. Well it seems to-as long as you look out for opportunities and grab them quick!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults
