We're off and rolling. Bread and pasta purchased today and mistakenly went to the supermarket just before lunch so a sneaky packet of crisps too.

Please can you put me down for £250 for December (1st-31st). I smashed my target in November but i'm not sure if that was just a fluke, so I don't want to reduce my target by too much and be disappointed on the 1st Jan.Operation House Move £11993.60/£25000 (47% achieved)

Well big big spends for us all round in the first week of our challenge! Spent 70.63 last night, although included a lot of non grocery items - windscreen wash, batteries, car scraper etc etc. Then £20 at the market this morning on meat - got 4lb chicken breast, 7lb mince beef and an offcut of pork (for free because he was about to pack up for the day!). So taking total spend way over what it should be at this point, but I think I can keep it to £50 a week for the rest of the month which will be fine and keep us under our budget!Kitchen Debt - 2820/260Save £12k in 2013 #060: 1293.24/3000MFW: 88760.00/85000.00 (4.24% paid)0

Thanks Angela & Suffolk lass. The capacitor things were only a few £'s each and OH is pretty handy (is an engineer of some sort!!! Only been with hom 12 yrs, still not sure lol) so I'm holding out hope. It was actually that whitegoods website where he got the idea for the capacitators from so it's good to hear that site being recommended
In other news I spent £110 :eek::eek: in Tesco!!!! I deffo spend more instore than I do online..... Just catching up with this month so far. My Dec starts today and due to DS buying the newspaper it has been a NSD and so will tomorrow - so off to a good start. No doubt that if I had gone I would have brought some other items needed or not!
Have only increased the budget by £20 for Christmas so am not sure how this will go but will give it a try anyway.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
My first spends of Dec challenge £77 on home delivery from Mr T ... I do the prepaid delivery which works out as quite a family saver especially as they give u free delivery on Tesco direct all of Dec aslong as u spend over a tenner bargain ! Also a little spend in butcher £8 so £85 .... Wow its freezing in little old Wales tonight x2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.0

Well, December week 2 shop done and thanks to the vouchers in the paper for Aldi we spent £28.65 on food, laundry liquid and toiletries in there (once I take off the 2 boxes of chocolates for £2.50 which will go in the Christmas present bag!) and £5.94 on fruit and veg in the friendly but slightly overpriced local greengrocer's! Got extra milk, frozen peas and bread flour still to buy but I reckon I can pull it in for £40 total for the week
. Meat's all in the freezer so it leaves me £130 for fruit and veg and bits and bobs for the rest of the month! Do-able I think.
This challenge is great for keeping me focussed, Thanks!
Vicky

Hello everyone! Hope your Decembers are going well. I have been very busy the last couple of days - took Thursday and Friday off work to get my Christmas shopping done and I'm pleased to say that I've bought every present and made all of my jam/chutney and even started wrapping things!
Today is my first day of December and no spends so far. OH is getting a takeaway and I'm out for dinner but this is both out of our own money.
Made a lovely dinner last night - chicken satay with salad, roasted veg and pittas:Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
