Don't take things personally and don't worry about what other people have said. This is, after all, an internet message board. People in the real world are usually a lot nicer (and remember their manners!)0 -
Well hopefully deep in, will log back in.
Is this still going on, or was it simply a myth scam or a scam shut down a long time ago.
Two people have posted up on Facebook today, warning about another scam, that was yonks old. The one about having a missed letter/package card through the door and the number they have to ring is an 0906 number of similar from Belize and costs £200 + to call.
I did think it was amusing that the OP original post, was a complete copy and paste. It was a bit like telling someone a story and then a year down the line, them telling the same story as if it happened to them.
I seem to remember this coming up a few times before on the forums as well.0 -
The OP reported on her personal experience of an actual attempted criminal scam.
She didn't
But perhaps some of the more myopic / more stupid here simply saw the link to Hoaxslayer and lazily assumed that if this featured on that website, then of course, it must be a hoax (despite the glaringly obvious fact that Hoaxslayer is confirming that this *isn't* a hoax.)0 -
shouldnt be long before the RM/parcel scam, gets posted over and over.........

So the myopic one and lazy assuming person here would be, er ... you:rotfl:
Oh, keyser. What a sad existence you lead, rolling about on the floor in laughter at your own editing of someone else's post so as to inflate your own misplaced self-esteem. . . Here, have another one: :rotfl:That better for you, sweetie?0 -
Sailorsam along with you has attacked me I was trying to help others and I didn't warrant the abuse I got and I never claimed to be perfect but if you insist on attacking others then make sure your perfect in every way first which no human is. I may have gone the wrong way about posting it but the abuse I got was not needed if I had been given constructive advice on how to post it then I would have happily changed it as I have done now. Surely the fact I got a call yesterday suggests it is doing the rounds again and not all people have heard of it as I hadn't until I got the call, if it helps one person then that is a good enough reason for me to post it.
Thank for posting the warning. I for one really appreciate the advice. I have never heard of this scam. Whether or not you copied and pasted is totally irrelevant - you took the time to try and warn others against this scam. Quite a cynical lot you are up against hence their pointless and unhelpful replies. Sad really.0
