Twink - I've never fed the tadpoles - I assume they get all they need from the murky depths of the pond! They always thrive so they're obviously eating something!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Well, DD wanted to see the Mr Bean movie so as XDH has refused to take her I felt I should (even after I posted earlier saying that my spending would be cut drastically). Still, it only cost us the price of the cinema tickets. DS and DD still have some Easter choccies left and they were happy to take home-filtered water to drink so it wasn't quite as expensive as it could have been (though I never buy cinema drinks or sweets anyway but still saved the supermarket spend).
Dinner was HM chilli with the extra mince left over from yesterday's lasagne. Have enough to freeze some too.
PenPen don't know if you will read this but I have picked up my copy of the Vegetarian Student Cookbook. It is obviously designed for students leaving home for the first time as it includes "recipes" for boiled and poached eggs! :rotfl: However, there are quite a few recipes that I like the look of and I will be trying some of them this week as I'm making myself do a store cupboard challenge. The vegetable biryani, pumpkin, sage & chilli risotto, smooth red bean soup and carrot & ginger soups look particularly tasty. Will try the biryani and carrot & ginger soup tomorrow, I think."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

everyone, It asounds like you have all had a busy day one way or another.
to anniestar and rage in eden, I am thinking of you both.
Well, the kids loved their first day, we had a look round the school and it looks lovely. Lots of paperwork to do later for the three of them as LO starts pre school there tomorrow. I have phoned work and they are happy that things are on an even keel and I am back in tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to it too apart from the smoking ban - but hey ho it's the same everywhere now.
The consultant at the hosi has reviewed OH'S notes with others involved in the case and seeing as the echos are consistently showing the valve to be in a worse condition than the results of the angio and there are changes in the last echo, along with a change in some blood results? feels the way forward now is to perform another angiogram. He says this will be done within the next 3-4 weeks. Depending on the findings they will decide on the best treatment for him. He was very thorough and took the time to make sure we understood everything and was sympathetic to our concerns and worries. He feels that the latest echos may be in conflict with the angiogram taken last year because the valve is backflowing and this apparently can exaserbate (sp) the results of the echos. At least they have all come to an agreement on a course of action.
I need to do a quick tidy after my coffee and before Sea of Souls starts at 9pm and get a wash on.
I hope you all have a good night.

:rotfl: Ain't that the truth!!! I tell mine that's my job now. And the job of a nanny is to spoil the grandchildren and then hand them back:rotfl: ( to be honest, I'm quite a disciplinarian. They know not to mess about too much:D )
mioliere and crazychik thanks for asking, baby is fine today. No bump or black eyes that we expected, and they've done the join very neatly, don't think it will scar badly. Glad all went well with dd, stefejb. That's good news about the grommets:D moliere (((hugs))) to dd and well done you!

Master tru is dosed to the eyeballs and still in agony
We rang the emergency dentist - they're open til 8pm but they're full so won't see him  A&E is no good, all they'll do is give him painkillers but he's had the maximum for 24 hrs so that'd be a wasted journey. Two dentists told us to use clove oil, another said NOT to use it
Too late anyway, he's been using it.
I found an OS temporary solution but he says it's too uncomfy to keep the cotton wool in his mouth so has given up :rolleyes:Bulletproof0
