Got an email I won a trip to Barcelona, but...

There's several threads knocking about on this subject, both on this board and on IWIWIW - apparently about 9000 people were emailed to say they'd won, then a bit later emailed again to say they hadn't won.

Boots have now replied to say that they are crediting 1000 advantage points to the cards of all those affected, as a gesture of apology - check your emails, you will get more details soon.

Yes I too got the WEM and it came at a time when everything bad that could happen had happened and my day was getting worse. So I too am like many, very disappointed

Well its win win for Boots then isn't it? They give us all £10 worth of points and we go and give them the £10 back.

What a scam! At least they can only pull it once.

It's not really though, is it? They give you a virtual £10 and you take £10 of goods from their store? If 9K entered then they are still 90K worth of goods down.:D
