I agree with you Elsbells but I do feel for the people that opened the email and got really excited (Luckily I read the sorry email first!!) and also, not everyone is a comper...Imagine if you entered the competition as a one off and got the email.

Still chuffed to get £10 though, there's always something nice to buy in Boots.

Personally I think this is more than we could reasonably expect

Mistakes happen, it wasn't reasonable to expect them to give everyone a holiday, they have given a very generous number of Ad-Card points as compensation

Would you say that if you go six balls in the national lottery for camelot to turn around and say " oh sorry a technical error means you get nothing " ????

not a money grabber here more disappointed as to how someone as big as boots cud make a monumentous F*** up , i might think twice about spending a tenner on christmas presents in there in case a technical error charges my card with the 90k there about to lose

I got he email and so did my bf, so £20 is amazing for a mess up. I too thought id won and told my work colleagues. How embarressing lol

I had an email from Boots stating that I'd won a trip for two to Barcelona. Totally over the moon as I've never been :j

Then an email saying it was a computer error :mad: not sure what to do about it but I'm so disappointed

I wasn't affected at all by this fiasco, not having entered the comp in the first place, but that email looks to be a lot more sincere and genuine than the "sorry" one they sent out soon after the wrong WEMs! If I'd been one of the 9000, yes I'd have been a bit devo'ed to have won then not won, but I think I'd be happy with the gesture they're making now to say sorry. Well saved, Boots!
