Got an email I won a trip to Barcelona, but...

Must admit I was suspicious over the 'winning email' received since it didn't mention my name, bit of a shame but hey ho, move on.

I remember when I won a holiday to Disneyland Paris, I didn't believe the email and refused to believe it until I'd tracked down a direct email for the organisers and had it confirmed by phone.

Feel sorry for the poor person that flicked the wrong switch and generated a lot of winning emails...let's hope they still have a job!

The prize involved haircuts for the winning couple and since I don't have much hair, I have avoided that embarrassment!

we should at least get something for there mistake, a small token as a goodwilll gesture perhaps?

I think the mistake is so big, thousands of people are in the same situation,a good will gesture to everyone would put them out of business

Yeah I got that. Luckily I read the second email first so didnt get excited. Must be horrible.

I got it too! And I suppose we all got the follow up email saying 'Sorry you haven't won this was a 'technical error'. I have emailed them to complain and gave them my Advantage Card number just in case they want to add some points as compensation!!!

I was GUTTED when I found out I didn't win ....

I'm not out for a freebie , and I'm not going to be on the phone to the press ...

BUT , all I want is a PROPER apology with a full explanation as to what happened .

I checked the term and conditions and at the end it says:
"Promoter and Data Controller: Unilever UK, Unilever House"

This is a very big company, making billions, so they will not go bankrupt, even if they send 9000 people to Barcelona.

(it contains the address as well, mayby we should all write a letter of complaint)
