Two hours is hardly a long time in real terms. Mistakes happen. Thankfully I read the apology email before the winning email.

(oh also whoever said would they a girl off if she had £7.50 instead off £7.65 for a prescription??? THATS THE PRICE YOU FOOL,.....

Prescription costs as of April 1 2012
The current prescription charge is £7.65 (£15.30 per pair of elastic hosiery)
brain in gear before you look at your reflection and shout FOOL

Hands up who has never made a mistake in their life.Comping from May 2012
Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help0 -
I think the worst thing to take from this is that now I will always (or at least for quite a while) feel distrustful of any future WEMs, no matter how big or small the company is.
So, if in the future we are lucky enough to win a holiday (one can dream...) we will not feel the spasm of joy in the same way, until we have 120% confirmation that it is true.
It kinda spoils the comping buzzMake £2019 in 2019 No 153 - £4517.17/£20190 -
Get over it and MOVE ON, there are THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of competitions to be won -GET COMPING, NOT WHINGING!!!!!!!!!
I agree with this somewhat angrily put sentiment :rotfl:
It's made me more determined to keep comping after feeling the thrill of a big win
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
I think most people are just really, really disappointed so I can understand the anger. I was planning the whole thing as a second honeymoon and told my hubby before coming onto the forum (won't make that mistake again!). Things like this do ruin companies. My dad worked for Hoover during the whole free flights fiasco and the company never recovered so I wouldn't advocate taking a whole company down over one person's mistake. A real apology rather than a generic email wouldn't have gone amiss though.:(
Top wins - Florida holiday, North Carolina holiday, Sky TV for a year, wine for a year
Thanks to all who post and good luck to everyone!!:rotfl:0 -
1 hour I got an (short) email with an apology that it was a mistake...
I was all excited, winning a trip to Barcelona for 2 persons with a balloon trip, tickets to a game and £500 spending money. Already planning in my head when to go.
I had already phoned my son. He was coming with me, so all excited as well, and then this!!!
How is that?0 -
I think someone should pm glad or one of the mods and get all these iwiw posts about this comp off, its getting ridiculous, im sure there'll be more tonight when people who only come on at night see their email..Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0

I don't understand all the indignation at Newbie Posters getting involved. I haven't been comping long, but everyone has the right to post - no matter how long they've comped for - or how many times they say 'thanks'. It's all just a bit of fun after all!?0
