No Fill in the moneyclaim online form- that will get them moving0

Get on and do the court action- HSBC gave me money back within a few days of filing the claim online0

I wouldn't wait for them I have just made that mistake thinking that I might
be a lucky one and get paid up straight away, but they said they would let me know by today and I have recieved nothing.
If i would have kept to my time scale I would have been half way through it or even finished by now.
Now I have to start court proceedings 4 weeks late.
Oh well won't do it again..........:o0 -
oh yes...by the way
You don't claim the 8% until you take them to court.0 -
Keep to your time scale, not there's.0

Thanks for the advice. Noted about the interest but I did use the template letter (for claiming interest) from the website which ask's for charges plus the interest to be repaid.
As the bank havn't yet either accepted or rejected my claim, should I write back asking for a reply within say 7 days, or should I go straight to the court action letter stage?0 -

hi i have had exactly the same letter, word for word, from royal bank of scotland... i am going to leave them for 6 weeks and then get in touch... as they have been very good at giving offers to those that have given them space to organise things.
the way i see it, i have waited 5 1/2 yrs for my charges, another 6 weeks isnt going to be that bad, and i would rather not antagonise them and get nothing!
hope that helps.Compers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Oct £60... £10 free spins, £50 palm, m&m pouch0 -
If you are planning on going to court, send them another letter giving them another 14 days, then file a claim. If you want to use the Financial Ombudsman, you have to give them 8 weeks to investigate before you do so.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Ok, this is where i deviate from the wait and see. It is YOUR claim but IMHO, you are letting the bank dictate timescales. They charge you to their timescale and keep your money to their timescale. To take control, you need to be saying NO you will not take my money and you will return it to me when I say. If not then sue them and get additionally s.69 8% interest. By taking control you stop them walking all over you. Just my own opinion so i hope it does not offend anyone.0
