He's saying people's Account Activity is being monitored, when they login & logoff, how long they stay on, what they do, jobs viewed etc.
Is this correct, can advisors view Account Activity without permission or only with permission ?
Its only with your permission, that your advisor can view your activity as i was told this this morning, they asked me if i have signed up and i said i already have done. I did not see my advisor, but next time i will, so if they ask i'd give my permission!!! I'm not worried at all..0 -
I have just spoken to JCP on the phone and Ill try and explain it.
All you are required to do is show JCP that you are registered with a Gateway ID and therefore have access to the new website. If you are not registered, you wont be able to apply for jobs on the site and will be deemed to not be making enough effort to find work.
Its basically seen as a basic minimum requirement that you are at least registered to use the Govt own website to search for jobs, any other sites used are a bonus.
You can sign up and refuse them access, the option is there. They just need to know you are signed up and have access to the site.
Different people will say different things, which is what is happening.0 -
They can not access the information on UJM without your permission.
I imagine they will try and do it via the backdoor and use the existing legislation of 'adviser direction' to try and make people sign up and show them. Highly dubious and something that will be legally challenged.
Ultimately if they are heading towards the logical conclusion the DWP will bring about a change in the law to make UJM mandatory and be given an exemption from the Data Protection Act, allowing them to view all data on the site.0 -
I just logged in to the site and I have a message from an employer. So my Cv has been selected by an employer. I will apply right now and see what happens.
This what it says: (You have been invited to apply for a job)... under the Invitations to apply section...
So this site is working both ways, they search me i apply. More of a chance if a employer likes your CV and is selected.
Anything is worth a try, if you want work, you do your best to look for it and never throw chances away.0 -

He's wrong! We can view account activity in the sense of jobs applied for, saved searches etc.
The bes thing I can say is ask your advisor to show you one of the test accounts so you can see exactly what we see. That way you have a chance to put your mind at ease should you decide to sign up.
I think people need to stop scaring people on here into thinking that every advisor out there is bad and wants to impose sanctions. Most of us just want to help our customers achieve their job goals.0 -

Perhaps, but when your boss is pressuring you to crack down as they are being pressured by their boss who is being pressured by the Tories (not a tory bash) the easy option is to flag up more 'customers' and apply more sanctions.0 -

If a customer is not complying the a sanction needs to be imposed..... You can't reffer to a descision maker for the sake of it.0 -
