    sounds to me bmouthboyo that you wasted too long in uni and are seeing people with experience in the field and no degrees taking your jobs.

    Never mind son, chin up and i'll have a quarter pounder with fries.. no drink.

    my dad used to say i'd be working in maccys because i took sociology at A level, and he was right :D

    boyo - those people will have had 3 years or work experience - and the graduate will have none at all, unless they spend an extra year at uni to take a 4 year sandwich course. 3 years is a lot of work experience. perhaps it depends on the particular job but i can see why some people might think getting the work experience is what will impress an employer.

    I think it depends on the subject. I am only doing my degree in graphic design for the skills. In my career industry they do not ask for qualifications but that you have relevant experience ans have the skills for the job. So I am learning the skills in uni and doing work experience through the uni aswell.
