It is fine for you lot here as you can get firsts and find the work doable and you do well and that motivates you. I just find it really hard and so motivation is an issue as I never hardly get a positive reward to make me feel better.

I have an avoidance issue of uni essays that I can not do too well because I fear failure. It is a common problem for many you know.

It's nice for you to have a shiny new label to put on your 'issue of the week,' but from here it looks like bone idle laziness and immaturity. Won't earn you any friends if you ever get a job. Your team colleagues will riot when you let them down.

You try three years of being told you are a failure and no matter how hard you work that you can not get much more than 2:2 and see how wonderful and motivated you feel. I bet it would knock you a bit too.

If your tutors told you you didn't have what it takes in the academic world, why on earth didn't you listen? They're the experienced professionals after all, who have dealt with thousands of students in their time, so they should know. Oh and for your reference I got a 2:2, which I expected and was happy with, all things considering; I didn't sulk because I couldn't and didn't get a 1st, I just got on with it. It didn't occur to me to do otherwise; I appreciated the opportunity and enjoyed my time at Uni even though I had to deal with my father's death in my final year.

I know I am a failure and useless and not being able to get a 2:1 says that.

I know though now the time clock is on that I have to work hard in these last few weeks and I might be able to come out with a half decent mark.

If that's your perspective, no-one will be able to talk you out of it.

I'll believe your second comment when you stop posting here and concentrate on your work. After your comments this evening, I now understand why you get the reaction you do.

My lecturers have never said I was a failure. I have never failed a module or anything in that sense of failure, but I know in myself I am a failure because I can not do as well as others and get 2:1 marks.
