Big old Kick for Kiwi
I can do this as I'm about to leave for work and you won't be able to catch me till alot later!"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
I've put away all my Asda shopping now. That was fun. He was 5 minutes late (10-12 slot and he got here about 5 past). Then he found a jar of pasta sauce had smashed (I wondered why he was so long out in the van). Went over loads of stuff. But he refunded me for that and some of the stuff I had to clean off (bit of a bonus really, I don't mind wielding my cloth if I get some money off).
Then when I'd put it all away I found 4 items were missing so I had to do the Indian call centre phone call. Gritted my teeth. I realise it's probably just the way it comes across but some of the operators sound so patronising. But I shouldn't be judgmental. Their English is a million times better than my Urdu. It must be a horrid job.0 -
Oh polly, what a pain! I put my tesco order in this morning and I have to say, they're always brilliant. I'd use Asda if only we had one nearby. I'm in Exeter and I think the nearest one's Weymouth
Just waiting for the washing to finish and we'll be off to the park. DH came home at lunch and was very sensible, he moisturised my big belly for me and the itching has stopped. Now why didn't I just think of that? Seems that my boys are bound to save my bacon today. Is the moon blue perchance?
I know what you mean Kiwi, I didn't know what to do with myself either? I'll pop him over to your house to give you a boost if you like!
Pigpen, just imagine, you've sucked up all those invisible icky dust mites  . They freak me out, have you ever seen a picture of one? They're all skinny legs and fat bodies, like spiders only even more revolting! I like to imagine them squealing and running away as 'Mara Destroyer Of Worlds' sucks them all up. I think I'd make a very good super-villain if only I weren't so short.0 -
Vacuuming mattress is because of these little fellas
I remember posting a similar image when asked the same thing, has stuck in my mind ever since!
Polly I only ever had one problem with Asda, but the call centre, what a nightmare, I don't mind, if they can understand anything I can say but they couldn't. Saying that because of that they refunded more than I had a problem with, call it compensation :rotfl:
Maralum, lovely little boy you have there, I always had itchy belly syndrome when pregnant. Moisturiser always helped, was going to suggest that then seen your reply. One day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon everyone :hello:
Ewwww....ewwww....ewwww at the picture *skin crawls*
Hardly done a thing today due to littley being off school poorly, she's asleep at the minute but find it hard to concentrate on anything until she's better so hence why not much done, did a few bits this morning first thing, but the house is ok so I'm not worried, the master bedroom will only take 15 mins tops so may do that tonight while the tea is cooking.
maralum what a lovely little boy you have, Bless him x
Done things:-
Hoovered through
Go to Asda for Calpol
Loaded DW
hung washing out

Gonna pre-prepare tea shortly, but first, make a brew0 -
i love this thread - hello everyone just had a quick catch up.
maralum - what a little poppet :A - by the way i'm just up the road from you in barnstaple!! i often pop to exeter - its a lovely place
pigpen - how's the room doing - i did a bit in mine but sooo much to do
lil_me thanks for picture motivation:eek: i AM doing my mattress today without fail
well today i have spent half hour in bedroom but there is so much - lots of the stuff needs filing or the cupboards need sorting before it can go away - am off there next. I did strip bed as soon as i got up so that is blowing in the wind. I have had a lovely couple of days being very indulgent - i have had a lie in both days - our girls always wake by half 6!! but dh is home so he got up. He has also done lots of jobs in house while i sat in garden and read so today i am feeling very relaxed but ready to work after my restful days!! this morning i have taken girls to friends small holding to see lambs, pigs and geese and a 'pet' cockeral which we were able to stroke - good as geese a bit vicious protecting the babies!!
well off to do bedroom - i didn't hoover stairs yesterday but am going to do it today as i take hoover upstairs catch u all later enjoy the sunshine0 -
They just make you want to clean it all with an industrial cleaner don't they :rotfl: yak horrid things. I always get concerned if the kids get bitten, or us, DS1 did last week and I had only cleaned his bed the day before but I did it again just incase. Of course he had been in the woods when they were out with the dogs but always worries me and frantically do the beds.
Just had a battle with the puppy to take her new meds, she doesn't like these ones, more anitbiotics, still got kennel cough bless her.
embb hope the little ones better soon, nothing worse than them being poorly is there, don't stress if you don't get much done, we all know what it's like
Oh one thing I must do is remember to remake my bed well before bed time, I keep forgetting and leaving it, like airing the mattress off, but come midnight when DS1s been up a dozen or so times I just want to crawl into bed and I can't because I haven't remade it. Will do it before we leave tonight, off to Teeside for RC racing (and pick up another toy for DP on the way)One day I might be more organised...........

I don't normally get many problems with Asda, used to be far worse when I used Tesco. Today was a bad day.
Talking of thankless jobs (like working in a call centre). I've just watched a brace of Mormons go round the street knocking on doors. Only one person answered. Don't see them very often, it's normally Jehovahs round here.
Still, at least it's a nice day.0 -
Oh you're lucky, we get loads of cold callers. DPS fave trick was taking the snake to the door when we had it, they didn't put the foot in the door very long. Silly really as a lot of window firms knock, 60% of the houses are still council owned if not more and all have double glazing. We get a lot of phone suppliers, energy suppliers and charity ones too. Charity ones wind me up the most, 50% are not a registered charity, but more annoying they get paid to do it.
As for mini motivators, mines at school, youngest DS (6) he either helps and shouts hurry up when I am not being quick enough (will move the sofa then wants to move the other before I am finished) or he times me with either an egg timer or the kitchen timers I have for them when they are on the computers. Good motivation but can drive me crackers! One day I might be more organised...........

Our estate is set up so that people mostly use the back door, the roads are at the back of the houses and we have greens at the front. Designed for families with children so they have somewhere to play. So anybody who comes to the front door is either the postman/lady or somebody who wants to sell you something. You can see if it's the post by the colour of the uniform and you just don't answer to anybody else. I don't hide. I just don't answer.0
