Gordon Cook/Crook got away with it again. October 4th 2013, Lynplan/Econermine/Lifestyle collected 3 piece suite, delivery 6 to 8 weeks, then before Christmas then middle January, all the excuses as reported previously, by same staff. May 15th told by factory staff customers collecting their own furniture, went to check with Natalie to check 16th May phone line and web site closed. Notified landlords, Stiles Harrold Williams. The Croydon representative and bailiffs were aware of this situation, after lots of toing and froing Lifestyle were told to take from the unit what belonged to them, but of course emptied the building. All that remained in the building when landlords entered a couple of weeks ago, was 1 white sofa and some tan coloured chairs. As the local representative and bailiffs were aware of our furniture and a chair belonging to someone else, (they had photographs of furniture) steps should have been taken to retrieve these items, and may be, just may be, stopped Cook from taking these items. Have been credited with payments made by credit card company, waiting for compensation for new furniture. Have notified Watchdog, not much hope there, and Action Fraud.

I took the case as far as I could, but it seems no-one has taken notice of us.

Reported it as possible fraud, notified Trading Standards in Lincolnshire and Croydon, asked the BBC to investigate …

Seems we're too small fry to be worth taking notice of.

Have sent details to Investigations Company who contacted local Trading Office saying thought this company would be looked into. Problem though, everything, absolutely everything is confidential and the outcome will never be known.

Mr cook is nothing but a modern day crook , he takes companies into receivership stripping them of all assetts for personnel gain!!! He then put the financial gain into his own restaurants which by the way are mainly in ROchester high street kent . The place she owns are called MIcawbers fish bar 15 high street Rochester , kinara high street Rochester , foxtrot oscar Rochester high street , Victoria bull hotel ROchester high street , Morleys BAkery Rochester high street and mini Morleys Rochester high street , also BEntleys coffee shop high street aylesford and KInara east mailing . This is not all of them though
Surely it must be illegal to take people businesses away from them and use there financial assetts to set yourself up in business . Please advise where to go with this as he is constantly threatening me and my family as I have stood upto him

Any more news on Gordon Adrian Cook? Has he had his comeuppance? If not why not?

Dear Everyone,

I'm so sad to have read all these bad experiences. My parents and grandparents started Econermine when I was very small, and I grew up with the place. It started as a tiny business from our house, and grew grew grew, I even remember when they got the premises in Coningsby and my Dad let me roller skate all around in the huge factory floor before they moved in the machinists!

I know most of the staff had been there since they were teenagers, twenty plus years and although my parents are no longer affiliated to the business, when the staff got the call not to bother turning up from these B*ST@RDS, they were all heartbroken and my mother went to visit the site (even though we are now based in London) and offer comfort to the staff.

I just want you all to know,that Econermine was once a thriving business and the first of its ilk, and these twerps who took over have clearly ruined a wonderful company for the staff who have always worked so hard and proudly.

Those of you who knew the company before, thanks for the kind words I'm so glad it's been said.

To everyone else, I'm devastated for you and hope you get your money back if you haven't already
