:j Much nicer to have a trip away rather than new clothes!:D

Oh there may well be new clothes for the trip away :D One of the MANY things on my list of stuff to do this month is to go through my chest of drawers and throw out old clothes.

*sigh* just as well as I kept my fat clothes ..... I've put it all back on:eek: (down to the pesky steroids) .... when I lose it again, I will buy some new ones!:D

  • Ohhh was thinking about you / your mogs the other day

Not sure if you're still having to feed this http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/dry_cat_food/purina_one but quite a bit cheaper than in the SM

I'm trying the Indoor one for big cat (have also got a Light and Sensitive one to try for wee cat) - they'll both only eat RC and getting a bit worried in case they change the "recipe"

Did look in the SM but couldn't get these there but did notice they were all over £5
Touch wood - he's eating it!:T Wish it came in big bags tho!

  • No! Don't throw them. See if there are any Cash 4 Clothes type companies who can come and collect from you if there aren't any shops near you. It wont make you rich but I took a binliner of kids clothes (not even a full one, plenty of room to tie the handles and carry it in one hand) and got £3 for it. I'd rather have £3 in my hand than in the bin

Thankfully we've managed to put them on Ald! biscuits and Sainsbugs senior wet food, so we're saving quite a bit there.

Good plan, Batman :D I have a bag full of old coats at the moment just sitting cluttering up the placem so will add to that and then see who will pay me for me old clutter!

    Money gubbins

    Credit card balance: £77.11
Have enough money sitting to cover most of it, and a refund to go on to the card once some stuff reaches the retailer (returns by post) so it's essentially a zero balance.

Payday is on Friday, so below is the position today in black and the position on Friday in green.

Spendy money (including all food etc) - £41.62 (£95.08)
    Bills account - £238.27 (£374.27)

The car tax reminder came yesterday (BAH!) and I'm just putting six months on it - having to pay 12 months in January is just rubbish. It's no council tax month next month so that'll cover that. Leftover money at the end of the council-tax-free period will be put in to the car account to cover the car insurance as I think that's due in March.

The temp job is still dull, but still giving me money. More effort to be made to find a new job required though...

    Well done!

I've tried both Al*di & Li*dl with no joy ... mind you, I've only just managed to get them off Royal Can*in and onto the Purina stuff

Bit p'd as found that Oc*ado are doing it 1/2 price this morning ... but they don't bloomin' deliver here!

    Grrrrrrrr

Spendy money is down to £30.93 as I spent just over a tenner in Morrisons last night. I now have lunch-type stuff for the rest of the week and enough cereal bars to sink a ship. I also managed to get three packets of WeightWatchers sausages for 25p each, which was a major find as the sodding things are usually £££2.48 a pack

  • Oooh old coats! That's better than a boat-load of t-shirts, lovely, thick, substantial and heavy.

I just noticed another one of those cash 4 clothes shops is opening up by us. That's three I can choose from now!

Made Toad in the Hole (for the 1st time in years :o) last Friday with WW sausages and it was ... yum!:D
