Ohhh that's gorgeous I reckon it's well worth the money just for being pretty. :)

  • *sigh* .... it's absolutely gorgeous :D what a stunning colour :)

Think of it as an investment ... it will last years!

I got my current winter coat (which is a bit like a Paddington coat IYKWIM) in the sales errrrr several years ago.

It was around the £100 mark and was 1/2 price  and I baulked at paying that for a coat ... but I really liked it .... and it's got a detachable fur type lining so you can wear it autumn / spring too :j - it washes brilliantly (thank goodness as it's a cream colour ) and it's seen me through at least 6 winters (and may be a couple more ....) so well worth the money:T

    Hmmm....bad budgeting...

    Current credit card balance: £320.52
Money put aside to pay for it: £268.39
    Shortfall: £52.13

I'm not even 100% sure what I've done...! The money for the coat has come from my savings, so it's not that.

Wages due on Friday - £206.45
Reserved for bills - £136 (Bringing the balance to £456.27 with around £350 of bills still to debit this month, so starting to build up a good balance for February)
    Remaining - £70.45

If I pay my credit card off in full that leaves me £18.32 for food for the next week (unlikely!) so I'll need to either take the money from the bills account or pay it off in weekly chunks.

I have paid my car tax this morning as well for the next six months. Normally I like to do it as a 12 month payment, but our car is due its MOT in November and tax in January, then insurance in March and it just feels like the beginning of the year is somewhat weighted! I have paid £66 for the next six months and will pay for a year when it next comes around.

Tonight budgeting will be put to the side as I'm off out with friends to see Les Miserables at the pictures. Grand total will be nil :D I have a cinema pass, so it will cost me nothing to get in and I can take my friend for free thanks to Orange Wednesday. I have a packet of Boots low-fat popcorn to stuff in my bag as well ;)

Spent £12 in Boots yesterday in the 75% off sale. Sadly a lot of the good things had gone, but I still managed to get some decent bits and pieces for upcoming birthdays and, of course, for Christmas ;) The money had been sitting in my Christmas account too, so it didn't cost me any real money - just as well as I have nothing until tomorrow :D

    LOVED it!

I had no idea about most of the story and hadn't seen the stage show, so came to it with fresh eyes. It was superb.

    I didn't cry though :D

    Payday :)

I've taken money from my savings account to pay off the errant credit card bill.

Yesterday I managed to sell a couple of craft bits (leaving £9 in my Paypal for future purchases) and a book on Amazon that I honestly forgot I was selling! Although I am due £14.69 for the book, it weighed over a kilo so cost £5.60 to post

I've moved the change in my account (£5.45) in to the account I'm using for my trip to London next month, so I have £247 in there at the moment. I'm thinking of ordering some Pizza Express vouchers with my Tesco points so I can eat cheaply while I'm there too!
