Indeed..it is traumatic for all involved no matter who is wholly or partly to blame. I once hit a big fat drunk man who just randomly walked out on the road in front of me. I was very traumatized even though it wasnt at fault and had done all in my power to avoid the collision and minimize its impact. Fortunately he wasnt badly hurt.

I expect the truck driver was similarly traumatised and is glad that no physical hurt was done regardless of blame apportionment.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Have I wronged you in some way.....or do you just have a chip on your shoulder.....you have made horrible comments and sarcy ones and I can't understand why.....even presumed I drive a fiesta...to imply I don't know what its like to drive a large vehicle....I have driven a large vehicle and know how much extra vigilance is needed...though I haven't driven anything larger than a van.

Maybe your on a power trip as the Sgt would imply
Just give it a rest now.....it's not funny but pathetic

I'm ending this and reminding you that the driver accepted full liability even rhough my insurers said its split on roundabouts. He did this because he knows he was fully in the wrong.

Respond if you're gonna get a kick out of it.....but I've said the truth and i got the help I needed from 3 good replies. I'm finished with this thread, got the email details and more. Thanks to those who helped. No need for me to check the thread again.....I do have a life....unlike some

You have a problem when someone post different to what you want to hear. ;)

I only have 2 things to say.

Those at head office are probably laughing their heads off at what yu are attempting to do.

I said before that I understood that you werent at fault and it was a frightening experience, but you seem to be hounding this poor man, does that translate into witch hunt, just so you can get some sense of justice. He was probably frightened also. You really should get things into perspective. No one was hurt, accidents happen. Move on.
You really need to just get on with your life.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

To find out if the guy should be driving, maybe with his age he needs to be retested. I was there and so were numerous other people.....what he did was wrong.....it could have been avoided.....but he couldn't bother drivinv round the roundabout again.....was he in a rush.....only an investigation can tell

May I just say I am loving this thread.

A simple accident, and the OP want's the guy sacked....and for what!? And it's OK, cus he's 50 and past it and won't have kids to give a christmas too!

He's done everything he should, everyone else has done everything they should. Even Tesco's came out to breathalise him, and the police didn't?!!? (Which I don't believe a word of, by the way....seems very convinient to mention that tesco's breathalised him much later in the story only when people tell you tesco's won't get involved...), and now, you have had an e-mail from the CEO of tesco...within an hour or two!!

I mean, the admin staff have processed the e-mail, the CEO has dictated a response, the admin staff have typed it up, all within a couple of hours....blimey.

OP, if you want the guy sacked, just say so. Cus we can then tell you it aint gonna happen...and that's the end of that....will save you embarrasing yourself.

Everyone on this thread has been sympathetic, and no one would wish this sort of accident, with kids on anyone....but jeez....talk about taking the proverbial.

Thank you and god bless you :)
Thank god....someone who can understand the english language...I didn't realise i had to give all the details....why do people have to twist things and belittle....Bullies!!!

Because we aren't mind readers. Unless you describe what actually happened, then how do you expect people to understand??

You made a serious accusation against the truck driver, but have done nothing to back that up.

I only asked if someone could provide an email for contact....the only one i could find was for customer services....and this isn't a shopping complaint....i didn't ask for any other help.

That's probably because they don't have a 'dangerous drivers' reporting e-mail address.

Sigh...i'll let you have the last word so that this can all end....pat yourself on the back

Again thank you to all those that wanted to help...and did help.
I have now received another response from the CEO and it looks like the whole thing is being taken seriously and being investigated

Have a good night all :)

Everyone who told you to drop it was giving you excellent advice. Just because it wasn't what you wanted hear doesn't mean that it wasn't right.

Actually I did say to them the guy was driving dangerously and went into me. They said call your insurance and exchange details....oh and they made sure everyone was ok ...rightly so

So, the police attended and you told them of your concerns regarding his driving?

If they had shared your concerns then they would have made further enquiries.

The fact that they didn't supports the HGV driver's case more than yours.

...The guy was over 50 and looked more like a granddad for your info

So, you think anyone over 50 should be re-tested? Do you have any idea how stringent the medical is for driving an HGV?

Your overreaction to this accident is verging on the hysterical - you need to get a grip and some perspective.

No-one was hurt - you all lived to see another day - that is a big positive.

The other driver was probably pretty shaken by the whole thing as well.

Just move on and leave things to the insurance company.
    :hello:

What part of the lorry collided with your car?[/
The front left corner of the truck and the steps on the passenger side....both were damaged

And where was the damage on your car?

Because he was in the lane to the right of me and I was ahead of him....when i say infront I mean ahead but in the lane to the left of him.....so i could see if he was indicating in my right mirror....hope that's makes sense

And you were watching his indicators the whole time in your mirrors?
