Umm, how shall I put this politely. You need to work on your English skills and/or typing if you want to be taken seriously by an employer.

What organisational evidence have you got on your CV?

Charity work and running events at university. My English is a bit rubbish as I do miss words out if I am not careful.

What kind of charity work? Which events have you run?

Phil - you spend faaarrrr to much time concentrating on what is wrong with you...

If you spent half as much effort concentrating on your good points, you would be PM by now ;)

You have the ability to chair a meeting, but not the confidence to ask a lecturer for guidance? How does that work then?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Everyone at my uni must be vastly over qualified for their jobs then.

Even PAs have Masters in some departments.

I think I would be suited to working in something like day to day management done by many support departments at universities.

    Leeds Uni wasn't it???

Funny - I just had a look at some of their vacancies like this one:
    "Corporate Services Information Systems Services
e-Learning Advisor (Adult and Community Learning)
You will ideally have experience of developing and implementing e-Learning strategy and will have worked in or with Local Authority departments. You will have knowledge of the use of information and learning technologies within an educational environment and you will be IT/ICT literate. Experience in using online learning environments and web 2.0 technology would be an advantage. The role demands that you are approachable, with excellent communication skills and are self-reliant/self-motivating and able to communicate to personnel at a senior level. "
    Or

    Faculty of Biological Sciences

    Undergraduate School Student Support Secretary

This fixed-term post is based within the Undergraduate School of Biological Sciences and will cover maternity leave. You will work as a member of a team of secretaries in the delivery of an excellent reception service for students and staff and provide support in all matters relating to student contact and services for students. You will develop an understanding of Faculty programmes and issues that apply to undergraduate students and will show a positive commitment to your own personal development.

An excellent team player, you will work in support of Undergraduate School Office staff on a range of learning and teaching-related tasks. Good organisational skills and the ability to cover a wide range of duties are essential.

So where's the degree needed to be a secretary???

    Yeah right Phil!!!!

I am more confident now than when I was a first year.

You just look at univesities staff lists and admin staff do have degrees or Masters even if the job ads dont expressly ask for them.
