All the pushy sales people will find jobs selling double glazing
It is the nature of the beast. Unskilled jobs equals transient work
Goodbye Comet
That's nasty.0 -

Feel bad for the staff hope they get other jobs0 -

Getting 10% off an item that was already 20%+ overpriced does not make it a 'sale bargain'.Father, Husband, Jogger, Painter. Mostly at the same time, except the jogging and painting bit, it didnt work out.0

Well I was going to ask what are the discounts were but sounds like they are rubbish.
Even if it were something crazy like 90% off I honestly cannot think of a single thing I want to buy.0 -
Our kettle was leaking so went to look for a new one. Got a Prestige Eco Kettle which is £39.99 on Amazon for £25.99. You need a smartphone with you to check online whether discounts are genuine or not.
Do always feel uncomfortable going to Administration sales though. Feel a bit like a vulture. Hats off to the staff at the Colchester (Tollgate) store - friendly and helpful as usual.0 -
I'd get a new integerated oven if the price was right... but I'm not rushing off to buy one now for a few quid off. I wish I had decent internet connection for times like these to make it easier to compare prices online whilst in the shop!0

We need a new fridge as we currently have an integrated one in our rented house and have bought somewhere where we don't get one. I'm in no hurry but will keep an eye on the sales and see what happens. I just hate to take advantage of someone else's misfortune.
As for the staff, I wish you all the luck in finding new employment fast, and I really hope you're able to be paid what you're owed. It's a horrible time just before Christmas too.First Time Buyer: Mortgage Offered, Searches complete, Exchanged 21/12/2012, Completion 04/01/2013! :beer:0 -

Not sure if I can be bothered to wander down. I could do with a new DSLR, however my large local branch only has a choice of 3, all entry level, the best one was on sale for £540 and you can find it elsewhere for under £400. I'm not going to hold my breath.....0
