Some of us value our jobs thanks v much and aren't stupid enough to do what OP does.

If she didn't want opinions then don't post here go to CAB and/or get free 1 hour advice from some employment sols who'd say more or less what we say.

    Bully for you.

I could go through your posts and point out various times when you have appeared stupid but that would be churlish, wouldn't it?

And unless you hadn't noticed - this is the MSE employment board. It's where people ask for advice on employment matters. Duh. Which is in itself quite stupid, isn't it?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Sambucus trust me I wouldn't take advice from you here.

Any advice I've seen you give is As useless as a chocolate teapot.

    If you say so.

In the early days of personal computers, long before the internet, somebody said "A computer is like an unlocked filing cabinet with a built in photocopier"! Now it has a built in [STRIKE]phone and television as well[/STRIKE] CCTV!

I think because of her belligerent attitude, and inability to see that she has done anything wrong. She hasn't come across as being deeply sorry for it - just that there was nothing wrong because it was a private group (which turned out to be not so private after all, if the management have got to hear about it).

If you go back to the first page, it is quite clear that the OP does indeed see the mistakes made, accepts it and will be putting it down to experience. Subsequent posts may or may not have appeared belligerent (don't know for certain because of the deletions) but people have a tendency to degenerate that way if/when responses become less than helpful and err on the side of a good excuse to play "holier than thou".

Interesting use of terminology: stupid? I think naive is more applicable in this scenario and that naivety will be paid for with a high price. The OP accepts what the ultimate price will be for this; it is the longer term consequences which are the primary concern regarding what to do on the CV.
  • just to update , i have been sacked , as expected. On the bright side my employer has said she will give me a good reference as , apart from the stupid mistake of judgement , i was a very good at my job.

Have they offered the chance of appeal?

If so you may as well go for it...nothing to lose and all that
Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked

yes , i'm just waiting for the paperwork to reach me and it'll contain the details of how to appeal she said. Wouldn't think it would work but , as you said , i'd have nothing to lose.
