Happy Birthdays to Master Pink and Master Kyle :bdaycake:

VickyA that recipe for soy salmon looks fantastic! must give it a go. Do you think it would work with tuna steaks as well?

Haribo what a naughty kitten! And I hope she is enjoying herself while she can ;)

Kittie, I'm so relieved for you. What a worry!

Essex Girl I'm glad to hear your puppy is OK

Snowy – I boycott the National too. It just feels all wrong to me, but congrats to those who had winnings :D

Lil_me Mrs Mix, You really are suffering in silence ;) I hope you both feel better soon.

Happy Holiday to CCStar, have a great time.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice about the snail yesterday, She (I guessed) climbed out by herself and is now in residence behind my not-yet-in-use growbag.

The larger goot did its first "proper" dive today, bless! they have what I think is their waterproofing growing in as white parches on their breasts now, I'm trying to get some pics. In the meantime here is one of three of the chicks in a row, LCC is the one at the top of the pic, having a preen.
Would you look at those feet! Woooow!00020070.gif

What an absolutely beautiful day it was today, should have done loads of jobs but decided to enjoy the day and potter outside with my plants instead. And now I want a long soak in the bath with my book, I'm shattered
    000200D7.gif everyone xxx

PS, thanks button has packed up on me, apologies if I've missed thanking your post, Dratted thing stopped working for me part way through the thread.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

All these winnings confusing me, I wouldn't have the first clue what to do. I've walked into a betting shop once and that was just to collect money for my Grandad.

Annie you should have said with the chilli, I made an SC full few weeks ago (6.5l one) was my first ever attempt and we're getting a bit sick of it now :o :rotfl: 2 boxes left to use but after that I might not make one for a while. Downside of having a little freezer, one bulk cook and it's full so that's what we have to eat for ages until it's gone :rotfl:

lil_me My dad bets every week (only pennies not pounds) so I was brought up with the terminology but not the arithmetical skills to work out the proceeds of an each way bet, 3rd place coming in at 33/1. :rotfl: I have a very rough idea but no more than that.

You should have heard me trying to explain doubles, trebles, accumulators and each way bets to DD! She is none the wiser by the way.

As for the chilli.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Thanks for the laugh. When I batch cook it means that I can put three other meals in the freezer for later use - not three weeks worth!

Hope your throat starts to feel better soon. If it gets really bad you may have to resort to alcohol - purely for medicinal purposes you understand. :D

didn't buy any ice cream! is factored into next week's shop though as have been wanting it for weeks on end now, think I can say it's reasonable to buy some! (plus fuller freezer costs less to run right?!)
Have put away some washing, took some off the airer to be ironed tomorrow, put a wash on (washing/ironing/putting away is my LEAST favourite job) need to clear the spare room of the airer so there's space to put up a new waudrobe tomorrow (yay IKEA!) had a very dodgy tea due to me breaking the tin opener earlier after buying it (for 26p...serves me right, get what you pay for!) on Monday as I somehow lost (I fear accidentally threw away) my old tin opener so couldn't have baked beans...have opened tins with a knife in the past but I have good kitchen knives and don't want to ruin them...plus dangerously clumsy and fear for my fingers especially after loosing part of the tip of my finger to a potato peeler a few weeks back. Anyway instead of planned tea we had hash browns, fish fingers and lentils!!! was strangely tasty actually...should buy lentils more often as tend to buy them and not use them but I do like them a lot and they're so filling.
    I waffle...probably bed time.

Annie thanks for the tip, unfortunately stopped drinking over 18 months ago now, so doubt good idea, even medicinal I'd end up with a head ache I think :o. Batch cooking is just for me and DP so when I say do the pot full of chilli, what's left only 2 of us eat, hence takes a little while longer to get through. There was enough for 8 meals for the 2 of us. Maybe slightly smaller next time :o Got a tad carried away. I am being flexible tho, have done it with rice, tortillas, chips and baked spud so far so varies a little.

Catowen that's not bad at all, well done :)
