Pink-winged Jr and Kyle's LO Happy Birthday

Kittie, so pleased to hear they are ok, what a worry, I bet they are never late for a flight again!
Mrs_mix hope you're feeling better soon
Morning all. Up too early, DSs decided to get up at 5am for no apparent reason, actually DS1 woke DS2 up but that is another matter. Brought them downstairs as DP didn't get in from work until 5am he must have stayed extra because it was quiet at work last night and don't want the boys waking him up. He didn't get straight to sleep either because of me coughing
I'm still unable to talk, throat is extremely sore, wish DS2 could read so having to write things down for DS1 and get them to read them to his brother, like 'What do you want for breakfast?' Even squeaking words out as a whisper hurts and they can't understand me so barely worth trying. Funny however as DS2 is whispering back at me, his new theory is that I have 'swallowed' my voice said I have to check the toilet incase it comes out, ewww adorable child!
DS1 covered in bites which came up yesterday evening, think from in garden yesterday or possibly when they were walking in the woods, dogs are treated regularly for fleas, have double checked them today even though they are not scratching but they are clear, so can only pressume something outside was hungry. Just wish he'd stop scratching them as they end up worse, have put some cream and trousers on him to try and reduce that!
Plans for the day are not a lot, being quiet last 2 days DP will probably get up at 1pm and go to work at 2pm, so just me and the boys. Not going out anywhere as can't talk, might take the dogs later somewhere quiet so I don;t have a need to shout them back. Got a few things need doing in the garden, want to finish sorting school bags (some done some not) just so I know everythings there for Tuesday and not running round like a mad hatter the night before like usual! Fogs just starting to lift (was very bad last night couldn't see the garden fence from the window which isn't that far away) so hopefully will get warmer, going to put the washing out now.
Hugs to those who need/want one, hope the birthday people have a lovely day, and the rest of you do aswell! No doubt I'll be back later. One day I might be more organised...........

Good Morning All
(((hugs))) where needed.
Kittie - my Nan still worries about her boys - the youngest is 60!
Looks like going to be a lovely day today. DS off to footie training in a min. Im at the hairdressers for 10.30. 1 load in the washing machine and loads to go - couldnt do it yesterday after all as couldnt get in the kitchen.
Picked up puppy and the brilliant news is that the cancerous growth he has is common in puppies and should disappear over the next 2 months! We are all very relieved and happy - hope oh remembers that when he gets up this morning to find his chewed shoe - his fault should have put them away when he came home.
Gas man came & has order the parts for our boiler - will be fixed on wednesday. Apparently everytime we run the water it also fills the rads - should be fun today. Luckily have got the British Gas Homecare so not costing me a penny.
Feeling lots happier now though finances are really really tight. Had big Tesco shop delivered yesterday so hopefully that will last 3-4 weeks with just small top ups.
Having ham salad for dinner tonight, with strawberries and cream for dessert. Going to try and be outside a lot today but have ironing mountain so will have to do that. Sister is also moving to the road next to mine so will pop down and see how she is getting on later (cant help coz of broken wrist).
Anyway need to go, lots to do - hope you all have great days.0 -

Hi everyone, I hope today finds you well.
to all budding O'sers - I hope you all have really cool birthday parties.
Well I am on my second coffee, the children are colouring and oh is off to get a paper. I am just building up the motivation to start in the kitchen. The two eldest are itching to help so they can pull out the bottom cupboards and then we are going to re-arrange them.
It's a beautiful day here and I hope it holds until tomorrow for the picnic.
Lunch is going to be hot dogs and tea will be baked potato with cheesy beans.
Mrs Mix and lil-me I hope you start feeling better soon.
to all in need today.
See you all later,
Smoky. xxxxIf you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

:hello: Goooooood Morning fellow OS’ers

Many Happy Returns to those having birthdays
kittie – I know just what you mean about children *always* being your children and the worry never going away … most especially when they are miles away and stuck! I’m pleased you’ve heard from them.
lil me – sorry your throat and voice are still suffering … but oh how I  at the thought of finding it coming out of the toilet!! :rotfl:
Congratulations fac73!! Wonderful news for you!

mioliere – enjoy your charity shop day and fish and chips , looking forward to reading about your bargains
Emmy – oooh err, being around a mardy bum is no picnic!
Try and enjoy your night out, nothing worse then feeling railroaded, but at least you’ve got it over and done with and you have asserted yourself with your DH for the future. Hope it’s not too awful for you tonight.
Aril – as with mioliere, do share with us any bargains you get from the charity shops
and enjoy your Chinese tonight

anniebooklover – I can really relate re the homework! Take a big deep breath, (not worth upping your blood pressure for) and break it all down into 20 minute chucks over the weekend – homework for 20 mins, 15 min break, h/w 20mins, 15 min break … they’ll soon have it done and after all, it is *their* homework, not yours, all you need to do is check through their endeavours and give feedback
twink – have a wonderful, wonderful afternoon seeing your family and enjoying the birthday celebrations

mrs mix –sorry to hear you still can’t shake off your cough/cold L glad you had a better night though.
Essex girl – that good news on the cancer growth!!
My boys had a good laugh at me this morning, I’m aware that I do talk in my sleep, there has even been an occasion where I have woken myself up shouting out
but this morning, the boys were up a little before me (unusual but I’d had a bit of an up and down night) and heard me call out: “Don’t do it, K!”
I have nooooooo idea what he is talking about or what he shouldn’t have done  Poor kids! Their get corrected when I’m awake and now they get the corrected when I’m asleep too!!! :rotfl:
My leg is much improved after the fall and I need to take the dyson for a walk around the house today, so the exercise will do it good. Need to have some study time today as the deadline for this particular unit is coming up and I’ve some busy times ahead, so it’s a case of bit of housework, bit of study, reward of net time and so it goes on.
One wash load already on the line, 1 in the wm and 1 more wash load to do.
Hoping to get the bbq fired up this afternoon, so tonights meal will be salmon parcels cooked on the bbq with vegetable kebabs and jacket potatoes.
Enjoy your day, one and all

Morning Everyone :hello:
Only just got up!! It's gonna be a real shock to the system to have to get up at 6am next week when I go back to work
Anyway I didn't do a thing yesterday - just could not get motivated at all.
Plan for today is to go shopping, clean house (which should have been done yesterday) and do washing.
DS is going to exOH today (I hope - he let him down the last couple of weeks) so should be able to get on with it.
Anyway, have a lovely day to those that are celebrating and hugs to those that want/need them

Good morning everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Pink-Winged and Kyle Jrs xxx
Kittie - glad DD and her OH are safe, and on their way home xx
Essex girl - glad you had good news re the puppy.
Mrs_mix and lil_me - hope you are both better soon xxx
Well, the WM is already on with DDs bedding, and luckily the sun is out today - not like yesterday when i struggled to get DSs bedding dry!!!
All our plans today are up in the air now - DSs football has been cancelled (not sure why, but they have also cancelled training for the next few weeks and next weeks final league match - hope nothing fishy is going on!!!) DS is not impressed, but it does mean that i can get all the bits im wanting to do today done a lot earlier, as the football was a 12.15 KO.
So, we need to pop into town today - i need to get DDs birthday card for DS and me, and DS is wanting to wear polo shirts when he goes back to school for the summer term (so he doesnt have to wear his tie!!!) so will check out Primark and Tescos, see if i can pick up some cheap ones, he is very hard on his clothes, can guarentee that they will all come home in the first week with some sort of mud nothing will shift!!! I do also need to do a shop at Tescos, im in the process of writting a list of what i need, so hopefully i will stick to it, and not start buying the things i think i want.
Well, better get into the shower - hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Essex girl great news about the puppy.
Catowen, does sound strange they have cancelled all those matches, hope your DS isn't too disappointed, just going from what you have said before he seems to live for his football. Good luck with the shopping, shopping on a Saturday is something I hate and avoid when possible.
Thanks for the get well wishes. Queenie he made me laugh too, he kept looking for it the first day I lost it, he checked in the garden and all around the house. Said he couldn't hear it anywhere, I am pleased :rotfl: The swallowed it theory came when he couldn't find it. Pleased to hear the legs a bit better after going AOT (a phrase I use now :rotfl: I like abbreviations) but try not to overdo it.
Actually Queenie's reminded me, my Dyson needs cleaning out, my hair wrapped around the brush as usual
Washing DS1s sheets now to go on the line, realised he's been scratching the bites so much he's made them bleed, checked the bed and was covered in blood spots, oh well at least it's turning out nice so I can get them dry! Also need to wash DPs trousers I fixed last night, my sewing skills need some work for definate, my thumb was like a pin cushion by the end of it, kept 'puncturing' myself, but at least it's better than I'd have previously done and just thrown them out.
Right time to clean the dyson then get the downstairs floors vacuumed, frustrating as I'd like to be able to do upstairs now but DP wouldn't appreciate that one so will have to do it later. One day I might be more organised...........
