Morning all
It's not foggy here this morning, but it is quite cloudy, so I'm just hoping we're in for another scorcher today. The sunshine yesterday worked wonders on the seeds in the greenhouse, the only problem is I must have thought I was going to feed the whole of Staffordshire on the amount I bought :rotfl:
Off to the auction in a while, and then later we might go down to the allotment - managed to plant potatoes, onions and strawberries yesterday, and have some caulis, sprouts, cabbage and leeks ready to plant.
Hope everyone has a good day and :grouphug: hugs to anyone who needs one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

oh a nightmare yesterday. Friday the 13th and dd and her dh rang to say that they were stranded in Bangkok, having missed their flight to the uk. No-where open and no-one about to help as it was a major holiday. Work on monday in responsible jobs for both, 2 dogs in kennels, pregnant dd.
omg I have/am so stressed. I had to find tickets for them. Me, who has only booked online between cardiff and glasgow. Thankfully, I had paid my cc in full a week previously but the debt is now weighing very heavily. I had to book 2 flights and now have to wait to hear if they are sorted. Why haven`t they e mailed me for 12 hours? The mind works overtime. 4 hours sleep for me because I`m not settled
Blow everything else today. I just want to hear that they are in the airport and that their flight is ok
The upside is that I can`t eat so I might fit into my summer clothes better0 -
Kittie
I'm sure that everything will be OK, but understand that you must be so worried. How awful for your DD and her DH.
Thinking of you today,
Hugs OMD0 -
Hi Kittie - I do hope you hear from them soon - I'm sure they'll be OK but I know you won't be able to breathe properly until they're home. I went through that when my DS1 was in Zambia and Zimbabwe!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning Old stylers
OH was up for work at 6.30, so as I was wide awake I thought I'd get up & crack on with some jobs. Washing out on the line (thankfully out so early there's a good chance none of the neighbours saw me in my winnie the pooh pjs :rotfl:).
We're having a BBQ for tea, so have got all the necessary meat out of the freezer, made the burgers and currently the potatoes are on to boil for the potato salad. Have also emptied the bins & DW, so thought it was time for a quick MSE browse with a :coffee:
I've got a freecycler coming round to collect some stuff before 10, then my Parents are coming over to visit. Their shopping options are limited at home, so no doubt we will have to go to both Aldi & Lidl (novelty value hasn't worn off!), plus I'd like to squeeze in a Tommy Balls visit for some new shoes. Phew!
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday, and enjoy the sunshine
Bye x0 -

Thank God. They are at the airport and have confirmed their flight. I can go to the loo now!! I`ve been sitting here crossed legged since 5 am
Its the Thai new year this weekend and no-one is around to help
They`re always your children and the worries don`t stop when they grow up
Thanks for your thoughts. My dh doesn`t really understand. He`s gone quiet though and he`s gone to feed their dogs0 -

Kittie that sounds like a nightmare - glad things are sorted now.
I am rejoining the daily thread while I have some energy - I am 14 weeks pregnant and today is the first day since I took a test that I've got out of bed VOLUNTARILY before 9am! Been up since 7 and got washing on the line :j weird how such normal things can seem like an accomplishment
Going to tidy the neglected kitchen, living room and sort out the dreaded cupboard under the stairs... I'm not being any more ambitious than that for now!
Hope everyone has a good day
