Good Morning All
Misty here this morning but looks like the sun will be through soon.
Kittie - glad they're on their way home
I was up till 2.30 getting coursework marking checked and sorted (ie, seeing what is missing) All ready to mark now. Determined to get the greenhouse renovations finished today. It's taken far longer than I thought.
Off out shopping today to get tiles for the downstairs loo - I only need two square meters so it wont take long, will it? I hate making choices.
Enyoy your day!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Morning everyone.
Lovely day here at the moment, but am about to get in the car to drive and see my parents for the weekend. So no OS stuff until I get back on Monday really. Although have done one load of washing, good achievement for the day
Thanks for the library advice yesterday all, we had some friends over last night and everyone thinks I have become library obsessed, I'm trying to convert them all!
Hope everyone has a great weekend, hugs to anyone who needs one x x x0 -
morning everyone!
got some computer time as there is very little housework i can be doing at the minute while DH is asleep, so i thought i'd pop in and say hi. (he didn't get in till 5, so not being lazy)
i am enjoying sitting in my PJs with a cuppa and a cuddle from DS. It's nice as his 1st tooth came through this week so he's less grumpy now, and slightly less fidgety. He upset the cat this morning though, as it got too close and he tried to grab him.
OS today - i sorted through the pantry yesterday, and found some out of date packets, so i need to put them into the meal plan next week, and will need to pop to a shop at some stage for essentials only. it's just going to be me and DS as DH will be helping a friend move house.
michelle, x0 -

Another day, another dollar..........slept quite well, waiting for someone to collect my old microwave, said he was coming at 9.30am, its now 10.00. I am really fed up with free cycle, I wish people would not say they want something and then fail to ring and make arrangements to collect it....if this chap does not turn up, its going to the tip, which is a shame, its old, but still in very good working order.
DD is due to come and put up my wardrobe which means that I should be able to get rid of a few more boxes and also get the chinese rug down in the living room, we have to move the settee and the castors have jammed, so its going to be a 3 man job I think, its heavy, there is a metal folding bed in the bottom of it.............
I was going to see my friend this afternoon, but OH is going bowling so I may just stay at home, I am feeling very tired, and as I hate mess, its really getting on my nerves, want to get the place a bit more in order.
Have ordered some bits from Lakeland, they sent an email to say it had been despatched, so it may come this morning, also need to pout the breadmaker on now I have found it.
off for a :coffee: see you later........................
Have a good day as they say in the US of A.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
....
All our plans today are up in the air now - DSs football has been cancelled (not sure why, but they have also cancelled training for the next few weeks and next weeks final league match - hope nothing fishy is going on!!!) DS is not impressed, ...
Cat, our team had a few matches cancelled and there were varying reasons for it ie: the opponents couldn't get a full team together/couldn't make the match location/illnesses etc., and they haven't had any training for the a couple of weeks, but that's down to giving them a bit of a break now the season is over (+Easter of course). I know how disappointed the lads can get, but I hope he recovers quickly from his disappointment and enjoys the break.
Michelle - aww what a milestone! That first tooth!!!
Are you keeping a baby book to note down all the milestones? You think you'll never ever forget but, sadly, over time, you do <
never forgot my mum telling me that that though ... and didn't heed it
lil me - when you do finally get your voice back, maybe you could *not* let on or speak to the children and send them on a treasure hunt for it ... hide a box with a note written "Mum's Voice" and a couple of treats in it .. think how wonderful it would be for them to find it and return it to you

Good Morning All
Been up ages, just cant get motivated.
annibooklover can understand ref your frustration red XDH, my ex does nothing to help or encourage our kids to do their homework. But yet we're the ones to be made out as bad guys, for getting them to do their homework. They want all the glory that his kids are bright, but yet take no pride in helping them!
enjoy your evening dlb, we'll be out also, 21st party! Just waiting for a phone call if Im needed to help with the buffet!
kittie glad they are ok now! Kids are a worry, regardless of age.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THE O/S LITTLE ONE'S TODAY!
(((HUGS))) mrs-mix
taplady hope your hip is improving!
lil-me hope that throat of yours gets better soon!
essex-girl :j excellent news about puppy.
catowen hope you get to find out the real reason for the football being cancelled - your sight - it does sound iffy!
Well yesterday - I was on my own at work, other girl was on holiday, and the manager never shown! No phone call/text or email to tell me of her absence! I got some work done - skived a bit, work - skived! You know how it is!
Had to nip into town after work, pay a bill I forgot (ooops)
Plus I brought a couple of t-shirts from Primark for work (only £1.50 each)
Sorted out all my buffet box of plates, cutlery, trays etc, and took a load up to my cousin's, ready for her 21st later.
Kids went to their dad's yesterday, and upon their return, they told me they visited my dad's. I dont begrudge them seeing their grandad, but why the eck is my EX going? I know its another wind up to rub my face in it. Most of my family sided with EX when we split 3yrs ago, so its a very sore subject! It took about 18months after, before I spoke to my dad, we very rarely have contact now, not because of him - its my step-mum with the problem! The relationship we once had, has now gone, which is very upsetting! I was also told, they have their house up for sale - I never knew, was they going to move and not tell where they moved too?
Anyway (wiping away the tears)
OH is out cleaning the cars, WM is on.
Kids clothes are ironed for the wk end, as they are with their dad again!
And I just feel like curling up, and not waking up
Have a great wk end

Queenie what a briliant idea, will definately appeal to DS2. I keep forgetting about it, went to shout the dog in and just squeaked

Emma, hugs to you honey, try not to cry, families can be so difficult at times can't they, try not to let it get to you, especially if that is why he did it.
Just spent the last 10 minutes doing nothing but watch out of the window, there is a very elderly lady lives not far from me, every day almost she walks to the shop apart from Sundays, same time each day usually. She refuses help from people, she's had a lot of offers and I have learned not to offer as she did bite my head off once for doing so, but she's so unsteady on her feet it worries me, she stops every 10 or so steps to catch her breath aswell I think. I just can't not watch her if she's walks down that path incase she falls or something. I know in many ways she's like my old Grandma was and it's her independance but it worries the life out of me. More so when it's hot or icey as she seems to struggle more. Sometimes it's hours until someone else walks along the path at the bottom of the field where she walks along. I feel a right nosey neighbour but I have just a relief as soon as I know she's got there and back ok
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Lil-me. I would feel exactly the same, your not nosey - just concerned for her well-being/safety. I would hate it if my Nanna, was out walking (obviously when she was alive) and no-one offered to help her! Especially if she fell & no-one was around!
They do like their own independance, but can be stubborn for their own good! (thanks for your kind words) its hard not to get upset, but I know he did this for a reaction. Just upset, cos I had a fantastic father/daughter relationship, but its now gone cos of that t*at!
Right, Ive got clean bedding to iron now, catch you later again!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Apparently everytime we run the water it also fills the rads - should be fun today. Luckily have got the British Gas Homecare so not costing me a penny.
That is so spooky mine has done exactly the same and as I was reading your post I was on the phone to gas care to come and sort it. The house was like a sauna this morning with the rads on full blast:eek: -anyway mine are coming on monday to sort so like you thank goodness for homecare:D
Had a garden blast yesterday - painted all my wooden furniture (needs a couple more coats today then apparently will be fine for 5 years - mmm believe it when i see it!) and then attacked the front garden for weeds and gave my palm a short back and sides:rotfl: Looked out this morning and I think i maybe went a bit too far it looks like it has a mohican now:D
Plans today are to give the furniture one more coat then off with my friends for our monthly pub lunch. Treated myself to that lovely cardy twiggy wears on the MandS ad so that may get its first outing today:o We dont go till about 2.30 so it gives loads of time to do bits before the wine starts flowing!!
