MSE News: Ryanair forces ALL customers to pay booking charge

They could provide a discount though the Ryanair card just like Amex do through their card. Like I've said before. This is like wading through treacle...
Ooh really? So Ryanair could give "loyalty points" which gets you £6 off every flight when you use the Ryanair card. It's not a "discount" according to you so that's OK then then isn't it. Their website says they do. I know who I believe.
Ta ta.
It sure is like wading through treacle... Though now I've started replying, Amex has no connection to the retailers it's offering a discount in, so no, it's not the same.
They could give loyalty points yes, though if they restrict them to only when you book with Ryanair then we're right back to the beginning again - it's giving a £6 discount to those who own a specific payment card.
Why are you even arguing on these points anyway, when you refuse to believe the fundamental premise behind them?
Learn to read... You get 1 point per £4 on your spending ANYWHERE, and 1 point per £1 extra on your spending in Tesco - exactly the same as those who pay by debit card, other credit cards or cash get.0 -

That is fundamentally different from applying a £6 surcharge to those who don't have a specific payment card. The difference is that in the latter case, the advertised price is misleadingly reduced. The issue here is with the advertised price, not the final price that each category of customer ultimately pays.
Stop bleating on about "the issue here" - I was talking to someone else and that is NOT the issue I was discussing.0 -

This is a public forum, so you're talking to everyone. If you want to talk only to one person, send a PM instead.
Just give it a rest...
I'm well aware this is a public forum, but if you feel the need to butt-in then at least read the other posts. As I said, whatever YOUR issue is, it is NOT the issue I was discussing.0 -
NFH still moaning about Ryanair at every opportunity?
Try another airline or mode of transport.
Or stay at home.Legal team on standby0 -

I do fly with other airlines (usually BA business class), but nevertheless I don't believe that Ryanair should be able to distort competition by giving a misleading indication of price. It is immaterial whether or not I fly with them, as this is a wider consumer issue rather than my own personal circumstances. On the other hand, it seems that those supporting Ryanair consider only their personal circumstances, i.e. they will no longer be subsidised by those who do pay the £6 admin fee.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

Flys business class; moans about £6.Nice one Malkie, NFH is clearly obsessed with Ryanair's way of advertising their prices.
You are unhappy because the loophole exploited by Ryanair, which caused you to be subsidised by those who paid the £6 surcharge, is now over. You have disregarded the fact that the £6 surcharge was an unfair commercial practice.0
