This ALSO applies to flights brought from outside the UK. Yesterday I saw a flight for 15PLN (£3) from Warsaw Modlin to Liverpool. It still costs 15PLN but there is now a 28PLN (£5.60) admin charge irrespective of how you pay.
  • Does anyone have any experience of canceling Ryanair Cash passport?
I seem to be getting nowhere. I have e-mailed them and they asked me to ring a number in USA??!!
    Thanks.

If there is nothing left on it, or less than a call to the states, could you just tear it up?
If not, try Skype to call that number.
  • Looks as if they have already applied the 'Admin fee' to all bookings today. I just tried to book using my cash passport to use the balance before tomorrow's new rules. The admin fee is now included in the fare quoted, and when you select cash passport as the payment method it isn't deducted. Should have known that they would try to shaft those of us who were aware of the change and tried to avoid giving MOL his extra £12 per return fare! Will have to find some other way of using the balance. Dirt cheap flights seem to be a thing of the past now with Ryanair now being likely a minimum of £40+ return and Sleasyjet trying to play at being a proper airline.

    There will be a cash-out fee (£6).

TBH, I can't see anyone willingly using this card as you have to pay 50p a transaction so it will probably discontinue. They will then be legally made to refund everyone's balance without charge.

As a Ryanair enthusisast, I think that is pretty reprehensible of 'em, but you sound pretty relaxed about it so I guess you must have found a decent bottom line price?

Even at forty quid a return, that is cheaper than the airport carpark, which doesn't even go anywhere......

I tried to use my balance this evening after working away for this week. I then found the sneaky !!!!ers have already included the £12 return in the flight. I decided not to book the February long weekend for 4 and decided that we will just go to Dublin for Easter instead on Easter and February. They will lose out because of this

I have never paid £40 for car parking at the Airport

£40 return is half what you might have paid for a short haul flight thirty years ago. It is cheaper than the cost of many relatively short train journeys and a lot less than the price of a tank of petrol.

I'm flying 2,000 miles with Ryanair next month for £35. I don't like the new charge, adding £12 to all bookings, but even if I had paid £47 for 2,000 miles of transportation I don't think any rail passenger or car driver would be showing me much pity.
  • Quite agree with all of you, still a bargain, and I will still endure MOL's efforts to make the 2-3 hours we spend on his plane as unpleasant as possible. It's just always sad for us determined money savers when companies stop us getting a better deal than those who can't be bothered to try. Many of us remember £2 return fares, and I have had £18 returns in the past year. Add this to reserved seating and RA is a far less attractive deal than it was twelve months ago. And no, I never fly business class!
Just wait until only four tariffs for home power, when the bargain chasers will lose out far more than a few RA flights each year, again subsidising the financially lazy ......
