Nooo, you've every right to say something if that's how you are feeling - the good thing is that on here it can be a friendly discussion, whereas on other boards it would have got a lot more.....heated. Which is why they scare me lol.

Those of you who speak of the people who have left who used to offer great advice, well now it's your turn to step into those shoes. People won't be here forever. They move on to their new debt free lives.

I mean inappropriate as in 'in the wrong place' rather than abusive....so for example if they think something should definitely be in the Arms, they can move it there. But then where would you put the DFW Meet stuff - it's not debt related but it does support those who are in it for the long haul. Oh god, I can't even form my own argument, let alone answer anyone elses.... :o

It is complicated, that's why throughout this particular thread when people have made statements making it seem easy, I've brought in other factors to "complicate it up".

It is hard - there's no "all-encompassing" solution, and there are trade-offs

The long term/short term split is an interesting idea though.

It's a thought, but I'm not sure how successful it'll be.

Being as pregnant as you are snaggles there can't be a man alive who wouldn't run a mile rather than upset you. I was evil when I was about to have mine.

But you're right, this board is great for friendly discussion.

We do try SS, they just did it better and in fewer words than I do.

I can't imagine you being evil!

I like the idea of blaming the pregnancy for my stroppiness....but what am I going to blame it on once I've given birth?? :D

Rubbish Totes! People who come here in desperation aren't worried about the length of your reply. If anything they would be more grateful for you taking the time to explain things in more detail but less jargon. :)

well, the meet stuff is debt related in as much as it supports the long term people. I don't think the board should be just about newbies that would be rubbish.

    Why do you think that?

Maybe I shouldn't have said anything in the first place because I'm not sure what the answer is.

If we posted knowing all the answers, there'd be no threads, because no one would be asking any questions...

Perhaps my issue is selfish in that I don't feel as welcome as I once did and I know others feel the same.

You possibly aren't - DFW does seem to be geared up towards newbies to be frank. You're not a newbie any more so there's less fawning... ;) But you are certainly very welcome as far as I'm concerned. But that's from someone who posts nonsense... :D

Perhaps it is just a cyclical thing and I'm sad because people have left. But Z asked so I told him how I felt (let's blame z).

Yeah - blame me. Everyone else does. Especially my X. You're not my X are you..?

I don't want people to think they can't post social stuff, but I do sometimes wish people would post less of it, or post it in the arms. There's no reason why a DFW clique can't descend upon them :D

Well that's the thing. So many people in DFW don't leave here. There reasons for that run deep - and it's probably the key to understading the "culture" of DFW.

Let's face it, it's the culture that makes DFW, rather than the nominal "topic" of the board. We can't even totally agree what exactly constitutes "Debt Free"...

PMT like all women. The only reason don't blame that when they're pregnant is that the M stops working...

Lol, yes, I blame any moodiness on that, regardless of the time of the month :)
