Jellybox it goes against everything I believe but would it be cheaper to replace the extractor yourself? In our rented houses we often ended up doing things like that to improve our standard of living. I did however keep the broken stuff and where possible it was all returned to situ when I left. I have a shed full of stuff that we removed from the one but last. None of it is any use to me now but it was the principal, of course it also means that when someone needs something I usually have some in. Don't have an extractor else would happily have sent it to you.0

Pops - our local council runs a Taxi Card scheme -

only available in London AFAIK - but your council might do similar
Byatt - hugs for you and your daughter on the loss of your beloved dog
Thank you for the information Dippypud, I think that is a great scheme...especially if the public transport is letting people down...nights and sundays are the problem...daytime yu can manage up to a point.
I also send my heart felt wishes for your loss Byatt..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Once again, heartfelt sympathies Byatt, how hard it is to say goodbye.
Well..... was at A!di at 8.15 to get a steam mop, but should have been there at 8, all had gone!
C'est la vie, my own fault as I had meant to get there earlier.
Nothing daunted, I used vouchers to get one from Mr T, (a Shark steam mop). Not used it yet but will have fun later. We had a rather unwieldy steamer some years ago, will be good to see how much better this is on floors.
Also nipped into Her*n as they opened, didn't need much, but the most heavenly 500g pots of Greek yogurt for 60p (honey and clementine) were not to be resisted. I have never, ever seen such thick yogurt, I had it with A!di's Exotic muesli for brekky, and each dollop was that thick it held its shape as it was placed in the bowl. What a treat!
Getting on with my mental health course today as work is quiet, all most interesting. I had a pile of responses when I mentioned these free courses, not sure if anyone on this thread ultimately took it up, though someone on one of the other threads did.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Byatt....hugs on loss of your dog, know how it feels.
Have been in Galway to-day for a cousin's funeral.....third cousin in last year, sadly funerals seem to be the only time the extended family meets now.
Seems slightly warmer to-day although it is raining....surprise, surprise.
Warm wishes to all stressed for any reason, sleep well and stay safe

Thank you for your mould issue help!
stiltwalker - I will definitely try the bicarb and bleach thing. Sounds like it should be a bit more directed, although the stuff I was using today was part bleach.
kidcat - I considered replacing it, but I wouldn't know where to start with something like that, plus we are (unbeknownst to him) hoping to move within the next few months, and I have enough of his carp furnishings to put back when we leave, without buying and fitting a new fan! Also, my one mould specific product is nowhere near running out, and should easily last until we leave!
misslr - I will definitely take photos, that's a good idea, at least then I can show him what we're contending with if I need to. It's beyond the dehumidifier sachets (sometimes actually foggy while showering!) but an actual dehumidifier is way out of our budget
Will try to keep right on top of it from now, it did get a little forgotten about.
Hope everyone else had a good, or at least productive, day!0 -

mcculloch29 That's amazing about the mops selling out so quickly:eek:but you've given me an idea for another breakfast idea...with your yogurt and muesli:)
My buy at the weekend was a single and double mattress protector which was a bit like a thin duvet and I thought it may help keep my beds warm. And make the mattress a bit more comfortable until they are replaced.
Thinking of going to a Farmers Market at Saltburn on Saturday. I'm in for winning a hamper, would be nice if I did.
Next weekend a big food festival in Bishop Auckland.
My first trip to Stockton in 30 years went well and the buses were good going and the taxi firm coming back did it at the lowest price possible and would not take a tip...
I always think of Sundays for "Days Out" but as Kezlou and myself were saying Sundays here have very restricted service and in many cases no buses at all.
Well done Peanut:)"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
